He is still with king right???? so as horrible as this may seem.....it looks very realistic:yikes king will have no trouble getting him a shot. the hardest part for king will be convincing the meds to let golota get out of the straightjacket.
Golota will get a title shot, dont be surprised to see him fighting the winner of Peter/Maskaev, I hope King makes it impossible for Vitiali to fight either one them.
see, just honoring the tradition. and yes, the devision sucks............but not enough to actually justify it, even by todays standarts. but i too see him getting one. he is a name and a tv fighter. sells tickets. for all the wrong reasons( freakshow attraction, people waiting for him to go mental again etc).......but he makes money nonetheless.
It depends on if his eye heals ok, it was pretty, ****ed upatsch at 40 it may be too little too late, but in a weak division it could be possible:hey just keep him away from Wlad Klits..
I think he will, either the WBC or WBA. I expect another fight until then though, since both of those have #1 contenders lined up. King will probably stick Golota in with someone like Meehan to keep busy.
Sadly, it appears so. It sucks because there are other challengers that deserve a shot more than him.
Golota didn't deserve his shots against Byrd and Ruiz, yet he got them, so it's not out of the realm of possibility. I thought he looked terrible against Mollo, very slow. No way he wins a title, even if he gets the King-assisted shot.
Terrible? I wouldn't say so...Slow? A lilttle, but he was still active as hell in there, put alot of combination together & after 12 rounds had alot more left in the tank than a 27 yr old Mollo did. He'll get another shot & I give him a good chance to pound whoever it is in front of him. Watch again... http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=W1-KW1nVnII :!:
I was impressed with Goltota's stamina, certainly. Especially after seeing Mollo who was proud to be so young and hungry, exhausted and stumbling around like the town drunk, as early as mid fight. Golota kept his output up for the entire fight, from what I saw. As for Golota's fighting, he can certainly get a bit more fluid with his combinations, and did look a bit stiff and robotic, but he got the job done, and will progress to the next step. I think he'll get one more fight, then a titleshot. Just my guess.
And he didn't look so bad. He needs to spar! He needs to spar to get sharper & improve his handspeed which he can concentrate on. What reason was it that caused him to "not spar too much this time"??? It was a great fight, JC. Andrezej showed such heart, guts & determination. He needs to keep working hard & he'll continue to improve. Then its to the next level & keep kicking ass & grab that title!
