Obviously the Canelo rematch is his first and foremost priority but there are now good challengers available for him to fight if that falls through for some reason. Charlo is a very decent boxer and that alone is enough to make it a fight people should want to see. He's also WBC #1 and rated #9 by Ring so there are no excuses about him not being worthy Its a big sign that GGG fanboys are worried about something when they claim a guy like Charlo isn't worthy of a title shot. The bums are all but gone now and thats why they want him to retire.
I know! This is some of the stuff people always say about good/great fighters, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. Just being a little smart ass! Thus the LOL at the end of my post.
Proven he's a great fighter against who? He drew with Canelo, and got a close decision over Jacobs. A great fighter, beats both unquestionably. Everyone else he fought were cans, fringe contenders, and shopworn bums. He's the man that called out everyone from 154 to 168, then ducked them. Yes he should fight Charlo before he hangs them up. He still has a bit to prove in my opinion. Some of you are acting like he fought a murderers row.
Some people are talking like the competition is suddenly better than it was before Charlo, lol. It's nice that division has more US fighters for commercial reasons, but it doesn't make them top 5 contenders. Charlo hasn't done ****, hasn't fought any elite yet and didn't even clean up his former division. He needs to prove he can operate at the top 10 first before going for the big dogs. Fight someone notable first like Devy, Jacobs, Saunders, Murata, Lemmy or Andrade before stating silly comments about GGG. Couple of years ago fighting former 154 pounder would have been criticised heavily..
NO. For business reasons... at first no one wants to fight GGG because he has not enough financial incentives to make a fight.
Charlo is twice the size of Canelo, he's freaking 6ft with a long reach and solid as a rock, he would probably weigh similar to GGG ie 5lbs+ more than Canelo. Canelo hasn't beaten Jack @ 160 either, he beat another even smaller midget in Cotto @ 155 GGG apologist are afraid of this kid thats why they are making excuses. Every man and his dog thought he would beat Canelo and he couldn't even do that, the apologists were gagging for that fight too like it would make him a superstar. Canelo ran from 154 to get away from Charlo, he can run but he can't hide. Charlo will punch holes in him and probably GGG too.
Charlo #1 WBC?! LOL! Stiverne is #1 WBC, Wilder is WBC champion! LOL! Who has Wilder ever beaten? Who has Stiverne ever beaten. Charlo is #1 because he beat a cripple! LOL! That is sick, the cripple could hardly walk, so he gets ranked #1 WBC because he beat a cripple....................really sad when you think about it............Golovkin wanted to fight Saunders, but Oscar will not allow it. Golovkin would beat Charlo, no doubt about it. Charlo needs to fight someone in order for the fight to make money. El Pollo fight will make lots of money although Oscar owns the judges, referee and boxing commission! Golovkin has done nothing to anyone to get so much hate, but Eastern European fighters are hated to the extreme in America, by some..............Charlo beats a cripple who can barely walk and they claim Charlo is the best middleweight in history, yet Golovkin beat Jacobs and El Pollo who are not cripples. Hell, Jacobs was a cruiserweight and still get his arse knocked down, got staggered by a left jab and out boxed all night...............Let's see if Charlo can beat Jacobs or El Pollo...............well.........he can't, that's why he fought a cripple! Can you imagine what the haters would say if Golovkin beat a cripple?! Charlo supporters claim that the cripple was the best middleweight in the world, that's how they use their wishful thinking!
Anyone who knew anything about knew Charlo was always overrated and never on GGGs level. It was just wishful thinking
