He looked like he felt it but recovered extremely fast. The referee didn't even come close to being needed to save him.
There was only 10 seconds left in the round anyways. Lets not forget GGG was 37 in that fight. That's ancient in boxing. He's ****ing old now.
If he fights Canelo again I think he could be, Canelos gym seems to have certain advantages and they are not afraid to use them.
At this point yes, but only because he allowed himself to get old, not fight anybody of note, and just never took the loss to Canelo properly. Wasted alot of time and now it's too late, his durability and skills are probably too far gone.
Last time out he looked as sharp as any 39 year old I've ever seen. If you never get out of shape you retain your physical abilitities much longer, something I wish my prior self had taken to heart. No one in MW to do it to him right now, so I think he makes it to retirement on his feet unless he fights Canelo at SMW.
Unless he fights well past 40 he most likely will not be stopped. He is one of the toughest and most durable fighters of his generation. I hope he has a few good fights left in him. I'd like to see him get the third fight with Canelo, or unify the MW division.
Of course he could be knocked out , if he hangs around long enough someone will clip him . I see a bodyshot taking him out as the most likely . He covers his head well but that brings up his arms . If he fights Canelo again it won't go well and he has a fair chance of getting stopped.
