Will Golovkin retire unbeaten? How many wins will he achieve?

    Gennady Golovkin is currently 32-0-0 (29). If he continues to fight 4 times per year as he has done recently, that victory number could rise steadily provided GGG keeps winning his fights.

    2 simple questions for the thread:

    * Will GGG retire unbeaten and with no draws on his record?

    * How many wins can Golovkin rack up before he retires?

    With Andre Ward fighting his comeback bout supposedly at a 172 pound catchweight, a potential Ward-Golovkin fight seems to be fading away by the moment. That would seem to remove one potential challenger from Golovkin's attempt to retire with a perfect record.

    Julio Cesar Chavez, Jr also might be off the potential Golovkin opponents list after his loss to Fonfara.

    Rocky Marciano's 49-0-0 record has stood for decades. Now we have Mayweather in line to possibly tie Marciano's record or set a new record. Is it possible Golovkin could join Floyd on such a quest?

    Unless hes forced to retire soon due to injury, he will not retire undefeated. I would bet large money he loses within 29 months. That is assuming he moves up in weight. If he stays at middleweight i think he goes unbeaten significantly longer than that, though still retires with a loss.

    I lean towards him not surpass marcianos win count either. Though of that im far less sure.

    Interesting. I'm looking forward to watching his career moving forward.

    There are some good challenges out there. From what I've heard, Eubank Jr. might be a real threat to GGG. I would like to see Cotto and Quillin fights also.

    :lol: Eubank is limited. He will be certainly a top 10 middleweight but i highly doubt he can hang with the best.

    That's true. We're still a long ways away from Golovkin even getting to his 40th win.

    I haven't seen him fight. But I've heard people talk about him as a potential GGG threat.

    I personally don't think Quillin can beat GGG, but I'd still like to see the fight made.

    Eubank Jr. couldn't present Golovkin with a serious challenge if he took a samurai sword into the ring with him and Golovkin's water had been spiked with temazepam. He is literally the worst highly ranked fighter in the world right now, regardless of weight class, and arguably the worst highly ranked one of all time. He's also clearly a sociopath and those cold emotionless sinister sharklike eyes of his scream out ****** to me.

    He got outboxed by Saunders, which is by no means a slant. People talk about his immense power though and he hasn't knocked out anyone of any note. He'll be top 10 but won't touch GGG. Too much posing and a lack of jab
