Calm down, this doesn't have to turn into a fanboy-hater polemic.

Canelo is naturally just as big as GGG, if he was as confident as you're with his chances, he wouldn't demand him to come down to LMW to fight for the MW title. De La Hoya's latest statement and him trying to make Canelo-Bradley @155 all goes to show Canelo is not gonna want the GGG fight in the near future. I hope I'm wrong, of course.

As for Cotto, his post-fight interview after Geale, his recent statement about retiring in a year at tops and all the known intentions of making a rematch or even a triology show that he's not eager to fight GGG. Even I dare to say, Cotto definetly doesn't want to fight GGG.

These are just my take aways from the recent events and many others including some GGG haters agree to this.

My bad bro if I came off a certain way no pressure. We've already seen Canelo could give a damn about Oscar trying to duck fights for him.

And Cotto has maintained its about the biggest bout financially, you don't take a tune up vs a guy your scared of a best win just to prove a point if your a scary fighter.

Anybody who doesn't move on GGGs time is considered a duck, but the fact is Golovkin not fighting either yet has zero to do with ducking. As far as people's opinions everyone has one the super stans believe he's the best thing since slice bread and everyone is ducking, the super haters just don't want him to get the payday after all the sh!t Golovkin and his team talked only to renege when called on it.

Me personally I think Alvaraz beats him straight up it don't matter if it's 155,56,60,200, and Cotto if he wins I don't see why anyone wouldn't give him a great chance GGG is a decent fighter but overrated to the max.

You may disagree but don't be surprised if he loses to the winner, fighting the Lemieux's and Geales don't get you ready for a Cotto or Canelo.

Maybe. It's understandable to pick Cotto/Canelo over GGG. And if Cotto wins and drops the belt rather than fighting GGG I wouldn't call it a blatant duck since Golovkin is too big for him and he could see it an unnecessary risk at the end of his career.

But with Canelo, It's different. He can't make 154 and He's been stated multiple times that he's not ready to move up and fight at full MW despite being heavier then most of them, that's what makes me think he's not eager to take on GGG. But that's just the way it seems to me. Let's just wait and see what happens after Cotto vs Canelo comes through.

like with WLad and Kova, it's only politics standing in the way.
But if both the WBC and Lee keep their word, it's possible it happens march or april already.

If Saunders wins and Cotto-Canelo winner fights Floyd for the WBC mw strap @ 155 lbs then GGG would have to wait.

Cotto IMO if he doesn't fight GGG next year depending on the situation I'd call it a duck.

Canelo's weight right now says he probably still can make JMW, and has said so himself.

People read to much into the 155 thing, a pound or half a pound in a non title fight has never been a big deal.

I'm not a person who's mind is fixed and can't be changed, if both come up with reason to not fight GGG sometime next year I'd call it a duck depending on the situation.

Just like I call GGG overrated but if he was to get a high quality win I'd jump on the bandwagon.

We have a difference of opinion which is cool, I just hope we get the chance to find out who's right.

He could, but he won't. The orgs won't allow it.

Cotto's getting a good payday vs, Canelo and Cotto's career is coming to a close. No real reason for Cotto risking his health fighting GGG.

IMO... Canelo is willing to fight GGG @ 160 lbs. which is the middle weight limit.

Oscar doesn't want the fight, afraid of his Golden Goose losing to GGG.

So if anyone's ducking, it seems to be O$car, which I've believed to be the case for quite some time.

    ;)

If Saunders beats Lee, then I dont think that fight would happen soon, but I think if Golovkin does get the WBC title, the pressure may make the fight happen.
If Golovkin does get the WBC title also, he would get big fights as more contenders would have to face him, but then there may be fighters who go for the WBA regular title and WBA int title instead

I can't see Cotto beating Genady. I just can't. To me it would be a greater upset than Douglas beating Tyson.

PS: I thought Holms might beat Rhonda. Not sure how that helps Genady haters though, both are white.

by next year yes, cotto will be too old/weatherbeaten by then to be a cert win over him.
But at present they are even stevens. its time to find out who is the middleweight king.
