froch is Matchrooms cashcow. If they cannot sign Groves i think they will get 1 last payday for froch and themselves.

However, Eddie is close to carl so i can see them trying every trick in the book to avoid Groves.

Mathroom know they dont have many fights with froch and he is showing signs of wear.
They will try to sign Groves.

 

Haha. Too true. He's always been a ***** but had been rebranded as this tough 'Everyman'. This fight just showed the British public exactly what type of guy Froch is.

From what i know Groves and Frank are close and the only reason Groves went to Matchroom for 3 fights was with the condition that the 3rd fight would be a PPV fight against Froch. With Frank he got a fair shake against Franks fighter Degales wheras he got screwed over with Hearns fighter Froch.

Groves contract with Hearn is now over and he's a free agent, i doubt he'll sign more fights with Hearn unless it's for the Froch rematch which would be a big money spinner for him.

The other avenue open to him is to go back to Boxnation and get the Robert Stieglitz WBO World title fight, personally i think Groves should have gone this route to begin with to get more experience on the world stage. Even though he was clearly winning against Froch i still think he made some mistakes that with some more seasoning he wouldn't have.

 

Would be a great move if he did.

Part of me wants GG to resign with Matchroom for the rematchbut Look at it this way Froch is the number 1 no question. For Sky and Matchroom firstly Groves needs to get a new Manager and sort the new trainer out. Hope it's Paddy myself.

Then another part thinks go USA sign with Gb Mayweather or even Top Rank. The US would lap Grooves up and he would do huge numbers
