    Ricky Hatton says....
i boxed mayweather for the best pound 4 pound fighter title
    and i came up short.

    later...
I fell short once for the best pound 4 pound title,
i wouldn't do it this time.

Hatton belives if he beats Pacquiao he will become the best pound 4 pound fighter, how can this be true?
O.K, even if he beats pacquiao, he should move into the top 5 or 3.
But someone needs to tell him you can't ''win'' the pound 4 pound title by beating the no.1 guy, pound 4 pound is NOT a title.

    What do you guys think.

    Pacquiao (P4P no.1) vs. Hattton
    If Hatton wins......
Will hatton become no.1, or is Hatton confused about this pound-4-pound title. :think

Hatton thinks the p4p title is lineal :patsch.

He will not be p4p if he beats Pac.

No he wont be number one p4p, he'd move up a few places, maybe top 5 p4p,
but certainly not top 3 never mind number 1.

I'd be tempted to place Hatton in the top 8O current pound for pound if he beats Pacquiao, just a notch below Oleg Maskaev.

If he stops Pacquiao he'd have a decent claim.

    Thread has been done, however.

Even so, he is still bigger than Pac which somehow demerits the luster of a win!!! He should be contented to be promoted to top 5...

Nope. He'd be top5 though. To reach number one, he'll have to beat 1 or 2 high profile opponents after beating Pac.

At least he doesn't look as fat as usual but yes this subject has been done to death. Does it really matter ? If he wins then let the guy think what he wants, he will have earnt the right to do that at least

it would be an enourmous win. if he won, which i dont' think will happen even though i really like hatton, and then he beat Fraud in a rematch - then for sure top p4p. who else coud claim that? but. as i said....
