Is he capable of doing this? It's one thing saying it and another doing it.

I dont think he has changed his style, he used to move his head more to avoid getting in had better movement, but he gasses now cause of his poor eating, so has to conserve more, Hatton needs to prove against Malignaggi he is not a shot fighter cause Malignaggi will have him u sing his energy. Sad for Hatton he pigged out, he had great stamina.

Nope ... his pre Tszyu style has gone. I could be proven wrong but fighters rarely return to their younger days. There are exceptions of course, but I don't think this will be the case for Hatton.

EXACTLY. This statement is right on the money. There is absolutely zero difference between pre Tszyu and post Tszyu hatton.

His fighting styly hasnt changed at all. the only thing that has changed is his level of competition. Of course he was impressive with his style against weak english cab drivers. but once he got into the ring with decent competition, he looked below average.

I dont even think it has anything to do with his poor "between fight" habits. His habbits havent changed. It's just that they worked fine with D and C class fighters. As soon as he got to a B-class fighter, he looked below average. Urango (who is terrible) made him look terrible. Collazo, made him look terrible. He looked terrible against Kosta. He just had a ref who didnt mind him doing all that holding. There is no need to discuss what Floyd did to him.

the fact is that Hatton was never that good to begin with. When at least 30 of your fights are against D class opponents, of course you're going to look stellar. Throw in a few fights with some past prime legends (castillo, and Kosta) and people think you're some unstoppable force.

Vince Phillips drove me from Kings Cross to Heathrow the other day, tried to overcharge me, so I challenged him to an arm wrestle and nearly crippled the ****, true story.

LOL!! What a shame if that indeed is a true story. It would be terrible for someone who was once a legitimate contender to now be driving taxis.

totally disagree, hattons been on a slow downward slide since the tackie, mitche, olivera etc days anyone who cant see that is blind, probably due to the hunger factor, the more the sucess/the hunger is less!!

Downward slide since the Tackie fight? ARE YOU ****ING KIDDING ME? Some of you guys here are un ****ing real. Hattons comp has gone up thats why his not as good anymore. Yeah he looked great beating up WBU cans but when you start fighting live bodies that can punch back all of a sudden the kid looks even more ordinary. Considering his looked extremely ordinary against old men and C grade fighters it will be interesting to see what he looks like again vs a real live body. Why do you think his facing Lazcano!
