    You guys are all mad!

This will exceed the hype as the underdog in this fight has the strongest will in boxing. He will give everything, even if it is a mismatch skills-wise.

Even if you all believe PBF is way out of Hattons league, Hatton will win or die trying. The boxer Vs The slugger is the classic matchup. Both are elite and in their prime and undefeated: no matter how little credit Hatton is afforded on these boards.

At least the 'Hatton is an overprotected can fighter' rubbish has stopped on this forum. Fighting the P4P king in his own backyard at a weight above his preffered, and still he is mocked. He at least deserves credit for that, no?

This fight is going to be ****ing awesome.

I think Hatton will win somehow. Just as his determination allowed him to walk through the bombs of one of the hardest punching LWW fighters ever. Never underestimate a rock-hard, determined mancunian ****ing head case.:happy

The problem here, is that people have unfairly denigrated both Mayweather and Hatton as awful fighters to such an extent that they are going to ruin their own enjoyment of the biggest fight for many years. The truth is, you have two exceptionally talented elite fighters at the top of their game, both stylisically very different, both with strong personalities, both absolutely convinced they are going to win and two sets of fans who are entirely convinced that 'their man' is going to win.

Truth is, nobody seriously has a clue how this is going to turn out. I change my mind every day. The more I think about it, the more I can't figure it out. I'm so DAMN EXCITED about this fight, and it doesn't help that HBO are turning it into Rocky Balboa against Apollo Creed.

I can't understand why anyone wouldn't be excited about this fight. Okay, from a boxing purists perspective, you can scoff and make clever comments, but from a drama perspective you cannot, and will not, get any better. I feel kind of bad saying that, but I know that millions of people will be watching and going ape**** just like me. It just feels like such an EVENT.

But yeah, the hugman vs Mayrunner etc etc. If you don't like it, sit there with a frown on your face and a sense of self-satisfaction with knowing that you're smarter than everybody else. I'm going to be enjoying the adrenaline rush this kind of fight brings.

Can anybody get serious and recognise that this is a show just to bring a lot of money to both players and promoters and entertainment for fans. There makes no sense to expect a great boxing duel between two guys who don't complement each other ( like Hoya and Mayweather)... I just expect that they don't get carried too deep into the play, have some ugly behaviour and get seriously hurt, you know? Hatton really becoming oblivious to pain while Mayweather is making whatever statement or Hatton fighting too much dirty and Mayweather retaliating to the lowest point of disrespect between prize fighters... Never believed in that sort of idiocy but accidents may happen even between consenting adults.

No one can really predict the outcome but Hatton does have a chance. I do think Hatton will take a lot of punishment but we could see Floyd get truly hurt for the first time- I don't believe his chin is as great as everyone thinks.

the only thing not boring about the castillo fight was the ko, hatton was hitting and holding, he should be called Ricky the quietman Hatton instead of the hitman.

I agree. Everytime it looked like the action was going to pick up, there was another clinch. I was actually falling asleep during this fight.
