To be honest, IF Haye was going to fight the Klits, he would definitely wait until they are in serious decline before doing so.

Vitali is what, 38? There is a chance, if Haye has not retired like he promised to do, that he would fight Vitali when he turns 41 or so.

Wlad would need to look seriously, seriously bad in a fight before Haye would take the chance. Again we are probably looking 3-4 years down the track before anything could happen.

I will give Haye credit. He is like a weasel or some kind of rodent. He has good survival instincts. If he fought either of the Klits he would be thrashed.

He knows it, even if his fans don't. Why would he fight them when he knows he would get creamed? Haye has said he is in this for the money, why would he throw away his title? For his pride? For honour? For boxing? For his fans? Get real.

As long as haye does not get hit he will be champ for a while. The problem with haye is that he can't take a punch. I would even give arreola a great chance to beat haye. Something tells me that Haye is going to hold on to the joke WBA belt and keep fighting tomatos.

I'm very surprised at all this anti Haye stuff on here, the guy has went into val's backyard, didn't start screaming for home advantage (like Calzaghe, hatton in past) he also went into mormecks back yard for cruserweight titles..

If his previous record & statements are anything to go by, I have no doubt that he will fight one of the brothers in next 18 months.. he is just in a much better bargaining position now..

Well boxers are generally in the business to make money. I think Haye will look to fight the Klitschkos eventually because these fights will make him the most money but like i said earlier, his best opportunity to beat Vitali would be to wait a couple of years when Vitali is in decline.

It's quite clear you dislike Haye which is fair enough, that's your opinion. I personally don't think he is a weasel or a rodent and agreeing to fight a guy who is around 100lbs heavier than him and almost a foot taller than him shows that. No one really knows the real reason as to why the Klitschko v Haye fight didn't happen... we are all hypothesizing. Irrelevant as to what happened in the past, looking forward, there is a possibility of a super fight between Wlad and Haye now as both are world champions. This would be more lucrative in a financial sense for both fighters.

We'll see what happens... i can only hope these two will square off soon, although i'm pretty sure Haye will fight Ruiz first.

I just can't comprehend the incessant hatred towards Haye and the completely fictious nonsense that his detractors seem to make up about him dodging the Klitschko brothers.

It has been said a million times.

Setanta went to the wall and that was the final straw. Matters were already fraught because the Klitschko's don't want to give any opponent a remotely fair share of any deal.

Now I see that changing. Haye is going to attract the big bucks and Wladimir will be the first to take the bait. Haye will fight Ruiz and probably another - then he'll take Wlad, then Vitali.

He'll fight both within 3 years, unless someone has KO'd Wlad again beforehand.

A previous poster makes a very good point that the haters would do well to remember. This is a man who goes wherever he needs to. He walks straight into the home territory of his opponents without wincing and he does his business and comes out the winner. The guy can't win with some people. We see other fighters pilloried for being stay-at-home boxers - yet when an undisputed Cruiserweight world champion wins his titles overseas and then becomes only the second man to hold that accolade AND a world heavyweight title - won overseas - he gets criticised. Unbelievable.

Im glad that Haye won because finaly Tua can win a belt. Can you imagine the ass whipping he would get from tua? forget him fighting the klitschkos will never happen and he has zero chance winning not interesting at all. Tua vs Haye two power punchers one granite chin one glass sounds like fun!

I agree with everything.I predicted Haye would use the Holyfield plan and win, that is what happened last night. But like you said Bergeron, Ruiz, Chagaev, Holyfield all already beat Valuev.

One thing became clear yesterday, Haye is not the savior of the heavyweight division like he claimed. He will never fight Vitali and probbably fight Wladi mit down the road after making a few easy title defenses like the one against Ruiz.I doubt he will even fight James Toney.

This is not Haye bashing but the reality.

What a f*cking ****** you are!!!!! You were probably mouthing off all week with the other Hayters that Haye wouldn`t beat Valuev and that he didn`t have the stamina to go 12 rounds.

Just keep putting up the obstacles and spout your bulls*t while Haye goes about the business of bringing the heavyweight division back to life that your precious robotic Klits destroyed.

I agree. I am a Haye fan... in all honesty though i do think he will struggle against Vitali but will have a chance against Wlad even though Wlad will still remain favourite. We can't forget that Haye is a cruiserweight moving up in weight and he was fighting Valuev in Germany. Even Haye haters should give him props for that, although some of the comments i have seen on here has been personal insults towards Haye or claiming that Brits like myself haven't a clue with boxing and is a nut hugger etc. I would have thought on a boxing forum that most boxing fans can put personal feelings or preferences aside and analyse fights or fighters appropriately.

Do you really think that Haye will fight a power puncher like Tua.You must be very naive. Haye will make a few easy title defenses and meet Wladimir down the road in a couple of years for maximium bucks. He won't fight the Tuas or Toneys.

Anyway, it is good to get rid of Valuev.

Wake up man, he will never fight Vitali because he has virtually no chance against him. Haye will make a few easy title defenses and then meet Wlad down the road. Wlad would be a heavy favorite, Haye will only have a small puncher's chance. Haye won't get away with his hands that low against Wlad who is much quicker than Valuev.

The man talks the talk and walks the walk.

What more can you ask for?

I can't wait for the inevitable showdown with one of the Klitschko brothers, provided they are prepared to be reasonable at the negotiating table.

It's obvious the Klitschko fans are worried.

You talk nonsense. Haye does not walk the walk. He did not KO Valuev and did not fight the Klits like he claimed.

He fought an intelligent tactical fight against Valuev who was a paper champ. Haye did nothing different than Holy, Chagaev, Donald, Bergeron, Ruiz...

Haye will first make a few easy defenses and then fight Wlad for MAXIMUM buck. He will fight guys like Ruiz and chagaev and valuev.Forget about Vitali, haye will never fight him.

Look, I dont blame Haye for this, it is smart business move. Just like it was a smart business move to fight Valuev instead of the Klits. Haye did the right thing.
