Will Haye gas?

Why would he gas? He was still throwing bombs against Valuev in round 12, hit Wlad with a big shot in round 12, stopped Ruiz in the 9th or 10th round. People need to understand how he trains. It's a lot of explosive work and internal training with short rest periods, you have enough gas for a big burst, but then you will blow a little bit, but recovery between bursts will be quick, provided he doesn't blow his load all at once and gets too crazy in there.

if he paces it properly he will still be dangerous deep in the fight (if it goes long, can't see it)

 

Ironically it did land earlier, thirteen seconds before the end of the round - but the ref bizarrely called time on the round as soon as it landed

Haye has since tried to portray the fight as an easy night's work, but it certainly didn't feel or look it on the night.

The fact it won the fight of the year award with one of the governing bodies kind of hints it wasn't one way traffic either!

Fury's reach and jab is the key, he can keep the pressure on without actually being in range ... Which will put the emphasis on Haye to force the action or who will lose very round.

 

It's all about pacing. Haye trains to maximise power and explosivity, more so than endurance. It's a trade-off designed to play to his strengths. The only way to expose the risk inherent in this plan is to force Haye to fight at a pace he is uncomfortable with without getting knocked out. Chisora achieved the first aim but not the all-important second. Neither Valuev nor Wlad forced Haye to throw more than usual - Wlad didn't need to, while Valuev wasn't able to. Thompson did but that was many years ago. Haye's said himself that while Fury's plan may be to take him into the later rounds having sapped his energy, he believes Tyson will have incurred ridiculous levels of punishment if he's not been knocked out by then. So Fury has two options: try to emulate Wlad by being disciplined and outboxing Haye from the back foot; or apply consistent pressure, maintain a sound defence and wear Haye down. Both plans have a theoretical chance of succeeding, but it's their execution that will decide the fight. If you were Fury, rather than any fighter, which plan would you opt for as most likely to work?

I dont believe that one thing Fury has going for him is good stamina, but i think hes going to get layed out early.

Watched Cunningham v Fury and Ruiz v Haye this morning and although they were both dreadful , fury is going to be walking into them right hands

 

Yeah I just re-watched Fury v cunningham and he was getting hit fairly often in the early rounds.....needs to box way better then that against Haye other wise it will be an early night
