Will Haye get More Money against Harrison than he would against Wlad??

outside of the uk casual fans(a lot of them admittedly)haye/harrison isn't going to be a big fight on the world stage.haye got 4.5 million for ruiz so i'd be surprised if he can get 10 million for this.
when he was supposed to fight wlad in germany,even with a late replacement,60000 people bought tickets.
haye/wlad is probably the biggest fight out there apart from manny/floyd and maybe a couple of others so i think it would be safe to assume haye would earn a lot more for fighting wlad than audley.but he will lose to wlad so i can certainly see the logic of fighting audley for big money(relatively) versus low risk.

but harrison is making a little bit of me believe he can do it!!!now that would throw the cat amongst the pigeons

Harrison is not getting more than £1million trust me on that.

Its likley Hayes deal with Sky has improves sicne the Valuev fight so he is probably getting more than £5 from each sale.

But in terms of international rights and sponsership this fight will make nothing compared to the Klitscko fight. That fight will make them more cash. Its the highest earning fight in boxing that doesn't invovled Floyd and Manny.

 

HBO won't be paying more than $1million for the fight.

Why do you care about what he´s getting? Its lost on me.

 

Inside of the UK amongst the casual fan this is a massive fight. People are talking about this here that know nothing of Floyd and Manny. These people have never heard the name Klitschko. They all know both Haye and Harrisson.

Its deffinetly a possibility that this fight will make more money for Haye than against the Klits. Small fight on the world stage but in the UK amongst casual fans this is a big one.

For the Harrison fight we have:

800,000 UK buys at £3.45 a buy = £2.7million
76% of the live gate = £7million
Foreign TV rights =£1.4 m (extra undisclosed fee from New Zealand and Papua New Guinea)
T-Shirt sales/ hamburger concessions = £25,000

Grand total for Haye: £11 million pounds.

Contrast that against the £8 million pounds a bloke in the pub told me Haye was offered for the Wlad fight and you can clearly see that the Harrison fight makes the better financial sense.

the whole casual fan thing though, I just don't get it. Every person who is a general sports fan i have spoken to about this fight has laughed about it being Audley Harrison. Surley you guys have seen a simular reaction.

I was at the pub monday lunch time and on Sky Sports news they showed Haye training, a guy I work with asked who he was fighting, I said Audley Harrison. he replied "is that a joke?"

 

Makes 0% legacy sence though. Shows where Hayes heart is.

 

Amongst the casual fans I know Haye is 'The Heavyweight Champion of The World'. They dont know who the Klits are.

They see this as a massive fight.

 

If Haye wants it Wlad and Klit will still be there for his legacy after he's picked up a few easy £mill for beating Harrison,

People seem to think its has to be a case of Harrison OR Wlad, it doesn't.
