According to various articles maybe 6 months ago, Audley feels like Haye owes him.

They were friends and I could envisage it happening if David needed a tune up fight and Audley managed to string a few decent wins together (decent being the unlikely part of this).

    Seriously what do you think?

Way to risky for Haye, one counter punch from Audley and it could be over and Haye gets zero credit no matter how he wins.

    High risk, no reward.

It would seriously capture the general publics imagination no matter how poor a fighter Audley is.

I think this is the first time that I have agreed with you:happy

I actually see it a High Risk fight for Haye (who I am a fan of by the way).

Audley strikes me as one of these people that it capable of great performances but rarely achieves. Much like his nemesis Danny Williams (though to be fair he did achieve some notable things in his pro career unlike audley). Actually the second DW fight I thought showed us what Audley might be capable of.

What I'm getting at is that the one chance that Audley has craved might come his way and for the second time in his life he could find it in him to make a fight of it.

To me (and I don't feel I tend to jump on the bandwaggon) Audley has always looked go when he starts throwing combinations. It is when he goes into that shell of his when he looks like he'd rather be anywhere else that he looks shite (admittedly that is most of the time).

Haye would have very little to gain from this fight so the only way it could happen I think is if he really did do it as a favour.

I think David Haye's career is with whoever the Americans and Germans want him to fight. Hopefully this means he fights the top men and the top names of the division and I think Haye himself only wants to fight the big fights.

Audley will not get a charity gig and needs to get a fight against a top American or European, maybe someone who see's him as a name and a soft touch. Dimitrenko, Boystov or someone like Arreola on his comeback trail. Then all he needs to do is win.

We've seen a lot worse fights than that...

If there's money to be made, and lets be honest this fight will be an easy sell if people want to see Audley get battered, then this will take place.

The casuals would love this fight, they would love to see Harrison destoryed.

The eductaed fans would see it as a mismatch.

The super-educated fans know this would be the fight where Audley's potential is finally unleashed.

It's a good point. Audley is one of those people that the public seem to love to hate. I thinks many fans would tune in to see harison get sparked. I actually think it would be a tougher fight though. It depends if Audley stands up to be counted.

Audley is still a name. Even if it is mostly for the wrong reasons.

This last point is possibly deep down what I feel.

Like I said 'we're gonna get laughed out of town'

I'm not saying he would. I'm saying he could.
