He cannot simply block Wlad's jab with a high guard.
Wladimir's jab will thunder through his gloves.

Jabs as heavy as Wlad's are supposed to be SLIPPED or slipped and parried, you can't just stick the pillows out and block them.

Booth isn't daft. He'll have had Haye working with all kinds of heavyweights with deceptive speed, which applies to Klitschko.

I expect Haye to mostly skirt around the outside waiting to pick move outside, ie out of range of the Klitschko jab.

Given he will be aiming to be out of range of the jab its unlikely he is going to be in range of the right hands and Wlad does not throw them at the best of times even when the opponent is there to be hit.
By all means he will be keeping his right high to parry and block the jab, but I expect him to use his feet more when it comes to right hands. I dont think he's going to go out with the ultra law left like he did against Ruiz for the low jab but I suspect he will want a decent field of vision so wont have it ultra high either.

 

Yup. That's what people are forgetting here. Wlad is way faster than any previous Haye opponents. I have a feeling Haye is going to be quite surprised how fast and athletic Wlad is one he's in there.

Haye isn't slipping that jab all night despite what anyone says. The guard of Haye will get lower as the fight goes on and he'll begin to get hit by that jackhammer jab.

Haye cannot afford to let this go past the 6'th.
