Yet you made a thread earlier saying the Mosley-Pacquiao bout being on Showtime was a WIN/WIN...I don't quite follow...

Collazo has already beaten Berto. Criminal judges, or course.

Manny isn't under contract with showtime is he? I remember a few years back showtime said they would no longer tie fighters down (or better yet tie themselves down to fighters). They said this would ensure that they only aired quality fights as opposed to airing shitty fights that are being served up to them by guys on garanteed contracts kind of like freitas used to do to them.

HBO better hope that Bradley-Alexander turns out to be a modern classic and that both the winner and loser increase their marketability. At the very least, they need one of the fighters to become an event draw to market as a B-side opponent to a bigger name, i.e. Mayweather.

who cares about this **** anyway...

we were all excited about the idea of this fight, but that was fn ages ago.
even if they somehow end up in the ring together, its too late.
if pacman beats money, they will say money was past it and vice versa.

not fighting floyd doesnt damage mannys legacy that much, he has done enough already to be considered top10 atg.
even with a win over may people will say, "hell, mayweather was a fraud all the time. thats why he ducked cotto, margarito etc. and thats why he ran from manny in the first place".

the fight not happening only hurts floyd bc pac is considered higher ranking atg-wise anyway.

    as far as the hbo-showtime-situation:
competition is never bad, its always good for the business.
when they are forced to put on the best possible show every time to outshine the opponent, how can that be a bad thing?

if anything that situation raises the probability of the fight happening bc showtime will present manny as the no1, hbo will present floyd as no1 and considering both sides will believe their guy is the real deal, they will take shots at each other, calling out the other side and maybe that will put additional pressure on to make that fight happen.
