Larry would be OK if he would ask the question and accept the answer when fighter gives their answer. Larry on the other hand will ask a question and if they don't give the answer the he wants to hear, takes the fighter for being and idiot and try and reword the question like the fighter doesn't know what is going on. I think the Time for Larry Merchant harrasing fighter should come to and end. He has start to stumble over his comment and does nothing but **** people off, now when he starts to interview fighter I change the channel.
If it has to be explained, you'll never get it, e...like tryin' to explain what Billie Holiday brings to a torch song.
He must have insulted (spoke the truth about) one of the fighters whose balls you cling to. Boohoo, get over it, nuthugger.atsch:hi:
Co-signing whoever said the highlight of the broadcast and when all three shot announcers were put on mute and we just saw the action. Larry is terrible, Jim is iether drunk or mentally unstable, Harlod letterman is a joke, and Steward has always been a terrible color commentator.
That was an intelligent comment. Thanks for adding your opinion. What time you due back at boys town? And for the record, his interviews are the only part of his game that is any good. I guess I didn't make myself clear that I'm talking about his commentary during the actual fight.
Part of the problem is, you even wonder why, e. Reminds of guys at the gym watchin' Marciano spar, writin' him off as nothing but a heavy bag.
I would bg to differ, his interviews suck its not like back in the day when he would ask the round about question and didn't get the answer he want then came back with the direct question. Back then he was the man, now you have to sit there and watch him think about how to reword the question he already asked and doesn't do a good job of masking the question. He not quick witted enough for the job anymore, he needs to retire I sure someone else can really use the job.
As I just stated, I think his interviews are decent and that has value. What doesn't have any value in the modern day broadcast is the overly dramatic and sensationalistic angles that both he and kellerman take during a fight. It's like they are doing radio in the 50's. It seems contrived and outdated. Keep for the interviews and have him STFU during the fight. Agree to disagree. On a side note, I bet you think ON FREDDIE ROACH is a good show, huh?
Check out the butt hurt fanboys. "Fire Larry Merchant, he said bad things about my fave!! :|:|:|" Seems like you guys just want someone to kiss ass and toss softball question. Perhaps boxing isn't for you. Go watch some RAW...
