Just a strange comment I thought. One for that, two surely he would think AJ would KO him.

No. He will get Kugan Cassius to lick his lips for him.

    Yeah. Could be.
And the Matchroom FC internet weirdos have been telling us Fury should have signed with Hearn .... apparently, the fans being asked to fork out £19.95 to watch Fury v Bellew was the preferred alternative for those lot.

Assuming there’s a rematch, AJ has affectively been pushed back to currently the 3rd biggest commercial heavyweight.

Wilder and Fury are now American PPV stars. Vegas will put down an astronomical site fee for a rematch and your talking 1m + PPV sales on both Showtime and BT.

Can't see how they would be licking their lips...Joshua isn't quick enough or good enough to land a shot like that on Fury.

Could actually see this making the lad from China a massive appeal to them. Different market and surely a lucrative one if they buy into it

If anything Hearn will be worried how Fury managed to get up after being KO'd and then continued fighting like nothing happened!

Tyson want's to be careful when signing the AJ fight though, Hearn will probably get Ian John Lewis or Steve Foster to ref given the chance.

Sidenote I feel f*cked after staying up so late, getting too old for this sh*t lol

Wilder landed about 4 shots the entire fight. Wilder also telegraphs his shots from the back of the arena, so even though he’s fast Fury was able to know they were coming about 5 minutes before they reached their intended target. Much slower guys have had a better success landing on Fury, it’s just that Wilder is completely useless apart from the off chance one of his wild swings connect. So to say AJ isn’t quick enough to land a big shot means nothing as wilder throws his shots from 4 miles away and still landed, and to say AJ isn’t good enough to land that shot is weird considering he’s far better than Wilder in terms of boxing ability.

Joshua is a far more accurate puncher than Wilder, along with 90% of the division. Joshua vs Fury would be a lot closer than Wilder vs Fury. I honestly can’t see how someone could think AJ does worse against Fury than Wilder did when he does literally everything better than Wilder. The only thing Wilder maybe has over Joshua is power and even then it doesn’t mean anything if you have no boxing ability and can barely land the shots.

I’d pick Fury to beat AJ, but it would be closer to 7-5 than a complete shut out & I wouldn’t be shocked to see AJ legitimately win a close decision.

    Disagree with this perspective entirely.

Post fight neither fighter seemed motivated by an immediate rematch, both were questioned numerous times on the subject and both pretty much avoided the question. Wilder even said he’d like a fight in between.

Personally I think they will both be on the phone to Hearn to try and get that AJ money whilst they are still unbeaten.

    Guarantees last night:
    Wilder $4m
    Fury $3m

Nice money but nothing special, yes PPV will boost these figures. But the guarantee if they fought AJ would be around the $15m mark.

I don’t think there will be an immediate rematch because Wilder won’t fancy it and he has to deal with mandatory soon, who is Whyte.

You also have the issue of Pulev for Joshua- we could end with a lot of filler mandatory defences next year and not really the fights we all want to see.

I don't think Hearn learned anything new he hasn't already.
Wilder is overrated and limited and Fury is a great boxer when on his A-game.

I assume Hearn is more worried than ever about the outcome of AJ/Fury after seeing last night's fight. Fury is getting back to his best. He proved again he's extremely hard to hit and even when you nail him to the canvass with huge shots, he can get up with strong legs! AJ is a better boxer than Wilder but I don't believe he hits harder than Wilder, nor is he better conditioned. Fury's boxing skills are levels above AJ.

Hearn and Joshua will never leave home. Anthony will fight just twice a year and call out Wilder or Fury but never sign a contract.
