He came not to lose rather then to win. unfortunatly for him he did enough to lose. Needless to say he won't be competing for the title anytime soon.

Yeah, prime Nogueira (a proven ATG generally regarded the #2 hw ever) and prime Crocop (a proven ATG generally regarded the #3 hw ever) weren't the big leagues, but Bigfoot Silva and Fabricio Werdum were. Most ******ed comment of the week. Congrats.

Comparing Lombard to Fedor would only work if Lombard had, during his tenure at Bellator, beaten something like Chael, Rich twice by dominant decision, Okami and Marquardt in a collection of utter dominative performances.

Kongo had another great preformance, his 1 punch clinch tacic worked great. Why do guys love to clinch so much? it seems 95% of the time diddly squat happens when guys clinch but so many love to do it. It's frustrating to watch.

Kongo recently added John Ruiz to his training camp.

It's funny you say that, I was actually thinking of Ruiz-Holyfield 1 when I was watching Kongo last night.

Kongo was injured going into the fight I read... maybe that's why he did it... who knows?

UFC 149 has to be one of the most boring events of all time! I'd rather watch Royce Vs Saku twice back-to-back than watch the main card of 149!

Hector seemed to gas quickly and then not be able to put on the pressure required. His feet became stationary, his hands low and he would only move if he had to.

I agree with some of your posts about Fedor being abit overrated but
Lombard is horrible. Anyone with 1 year MMA training and good cardio can beat this guy.

He wasn't gassed. He's just ****. Shame as Boestch was very apprehensive and seemed to be quite afraid of his power. Either way Lombard did nothing to try and win the fight. The irony is even at 170 -even if he made the drop- he has his work seriously cut out. Sooner Lombard gets banished to the bush leagues the better.

You really don't like him do you Scurla.

He is a former Pride vet :deal

However, rumour on the street is that he is a ****!

But Chael, Rich, Okami and Marquardt aren't generally recognized as top 3 ever in their weight class or as proven ATGs (maybe Rich has a claim for top 3 at mw, but he's not really an ATG, and the other three don't come close to either status), so even that would not be sufficient. If Lombard had, during the Pride era, dominated Henderson twice and Sakuraba at 185, while destroying every other Pride ww in a 10-year unbeaten spell, maybe it would just about constitute the same kind of thing. But instead, Lombard's Pride career consisted of being beaten by Gono and beaten by Mousasi, and his best career wins are instead Trevor Prangley and Brian Ebersole.

Not quite. Alexander Shlemenko isn't exactly a scrub. Nor are sturdy vets like Ebersole or Doerksen.

It also appears that it is incredibly difficult to take him down, and if you do, he is a very solid grappler. Plus, he is a olympian Judoka. He chooses to box since he has huge power, but it's not like he is just a limited brawler. Also, I think his gas tank is pretty much fine. I don't recall any fights where he gassed badly.
