We may, if he manages to land anything before getting taken down. Is everyone forgetting Jake Shields had no trouble laying on Henderson for four straight rounds last year?* If Henderson didn't clip Jones at the very beginning of the fight, he wouldn't have much of chance. I seriously doubt that Jackson would let Jones go out there and try to bang with Henderson with his chin sticking up in the air like Fedor did. Seriously, what the **** is going in Fedor's camp? *On a side note, that fight showed that Jake Shields has a great a chin and recuperative abilities. I thought that he was done after Henderson knocked him in the first.
Yeah, I'm the one who needs to revise the way I analyse fights here. Why bother looking at relevant past fights and considering the stylistic match-up, when you could just make a one-sentence vague post saying "he would find a way". Brilliant.
At his age, I believe Dan was finding 185 a bit weakening, and is stronger and better at 205 now. The form and momentum that Dan has now, I'd back him to land on Bones. Whether it would be enough is another question of course.
I don't see Hendo going back to the UFC yet. Dana prodded him out the door to Strikeforce to begin with so he'll stay there for the remainder of Strikeforce's days.
I agree with this. The only hard shot that Jones has ever taken was the upkick from Vera. It will be very interesting to see how he reacts when he can't take a timeout.
Hendo gassed quickly against Shields because of the cut, and because his output in the first after he hurt him was heavy. Bones Vs Hendo over 5 would be intriguing, you would imagine Bones would try and finish Dan on the ground, and as we know, Hendo has arguably the greatest chin in the history of the sport. If I'm not wrong, last night was the first legitimate knockdown of Fedors career :think
SOME FOUND CONTROVERSY WITH THE (oops caps) Daley-Diaz stoppage, changing the ref' changes little here IMO.
I doubt he'd win that fight it if happens but with Hendo's power, Chin, and clinch wrestling ability he's a more interesting match-up for Jones than anybody else I can think of at the moment. Regardless of the of outcome we would have some questions answered about the quality of Jones mandible.
