Will Hopkins Duck Kessler ?

Hopkins will never fight Kessler. He's not dumb. He'll more than likely go after Chad Dawson since, despite his speed, its obvious that Chad Dawson won't be able to hurt him, and beating Dawson and Pavilk are the only ways he could possibly make himself look better than Joe since Joe didn't fight them. Getting busted up by Kessler would only add to Joe's legacy.

 

kessler is a far, far better challenger than pavlik

I'm happy Mikkel is making the right noises and putting pressure on people and that includes his promotion. Look at his comments on Haussler.

I'm confident Mikkel will get a fight he deserves.

But it starts with the fighter. It's no good sitting there and doing a Cotto; "I let my promotion deal with that" in Mikkel's situation.

i know the pushing and shoving that went on before that but mogens palle said "miranda is not in kessler's league" - and that gave HBO a major soft on for a good reason.

i am making sense - because if kessler wants hopkins its not enough to fight guys like haussler, whgo are nothing more than subpar opponents anyway, because fighting these guys - and i'll spell it out - IS NOT a platform to bigger fighters.

if kessler's serious he should be aiming higher and he's always stated he isnt happy fighting these guys. but until he pushes palle into a corner about it it will only be talk....

 

No, I'm saying he'll never get the opportunity to, despite being the most qualified oppenent because Hop ain't no fool. If he ever did though, yeah, he would bust the old man up. Kessler ain't no slow-ass middleweight Pavlik. It would not be an easy night for Bernard.

sartisan's belt isn't a ticket to hopkins - it's a safety net for his promoter to build up local support and promotional revenue.

they saturate it on danish television when heøs fighting and i've even had the chance to tell kessler its not going to get him the fights he wants.
