with radio raheem hopkins has said he's at 172 now. 164 165 is doable imho. i'd say make it 166 and we're good to go.

Hopkins is a masochist. He just wants someone, anyone, to beat the holy hell out of him and permanently retire him.

He won't quit until he suffers a lifelong injury.

    It's weird.

One boxer has never been given so many opportunities to walk away after collecting a fat paycheck. He just won't do it. Even when he loses, he never gets beaten up enough to call it a day.

20 years from now, they'll be holding benefits for him because he took one too many beatings and he won't be able to pay his bills.

    We've seen this before, too.

Bernard claimed he wanted to close his career by taking one more fight against a "real dangerous" opponent in an interview during the Vyacheslav Shabranskyy fight card a couple weeks ago. Now at the Herrera vs Lundy event, he has confirmed that he wants GGG as his final fight.

Will Golden Boy and K2 make this happen?

I respect Hopkins wanting to fight the best, but c'mon man. As far as respecting the man, I can't get past the fact that he promised his own mother on her death bed that he would retire at 40, and then of course broke the promise how many times over. What kind of man does that? If he wants to get his brains beat in by GGG, let him.

Hopkins is still attention whoring and will not go away. GGG should tell him to get lost because this fight does nothing for him at this stage. Kovalev already ended that myth.

I would like to see it but you are right; Hopkins should know when to stop and GGG beats him up, haters will say Hopkins got old etc. But boxing is business, if the fight make sense, why not? It would be fun to see Golovkin at his technical best.

No....he simply would not work on weight loss during camp and simply come in about 167.
Enter the ring bout 173 , while BHOP will be bout 180.

And this fight is as good as made if HBO PPV won't sign of on Froch, and WARD is too demanding on his CW counter proposals.

    Fights as good as made.

    GGG vs BHOP.....September at MSG

Yea except Hopkins is 50 now and Pavlik is an awful comparison. But hopkins is your boy though and you have to make a stupid statement in supporting him so i get it.
