Will Hopkins have a harder time with Dawson, than he had with Calzaghe?

This is a good question all the boxing fans in here. Do you think Hopkins has a harder time with Chad Dawson's reach, speed, and southpaw style, than he had with Calzaghe's workrate, stamina, rhythem, and southpaw style? I think he has an easier time in the fight imo. I think Joe is a better all around fighter than Dawson and can maintain his speed for longer periods of time than Dawson can. What do you guys think?

Hopkins willl lose decisively imo. Dawson isn't or never will be as good as Calzaghe, it's more a combination of styles suiting Dawson and Hopkins' older age.

But Calzaghe had the style too and Hopkins was also at an older age when he fought Joe.

The difference is huge, he was still an excellent fighter at vs JC, he lost many things but made up for it with defence and increased ring iq (from his mid/late 30's), now hopkins is nothing compared to the 43 y.o. Bhop, he gets hit alot more now

Hopkins slowed down Calzaghe and annoyed him. I doubt by slowing down Dawson, that would bther Chad he's quiete a reserved fighter these days

I don't see that. I think it's the same. His speed look great to me in the 2 rounds they went. Chad couldn't find him and Hopkins was doing what he always does, and that's controlling the pace and managed to take his jab away. So let me ask you this than? If Hopkins beats Chad Dawson decisively, what will you say? Will you still he's slower because he's gonna ovbiously have to be as quick as he was when he fought Joe, and remember he always has a suprise up his sleeves going into a fight.

Calzaghe would never have lost to Jean Pascal.

It's clear as day Hopkins has slowed down a bit since his 2008 loss to Calzaghe. If you don't see that, not sure what else can be said really.

:deal Dawson throws straighter, faster, harder punches than Slappy did, particualrly the old ass Slappy that fought Popkins. Plus, the old man is even older now.

One thing for sure: B-Hop will make this fight ugly as hell.

I think Hopkins will beat Dawson in a close but clear fight. So I think Calzaghe will still have been his hardest fight post-Jones after he fights Chad.

But Dawson can't maintain as long as Joe though. And Joe is a better boxer in the center of the ring than Chad.

And what can you show me that proves this theory? Because he looked quick in the 2 rounds that he fought with Dawson and he looked just as quick when he fought Pascal twice.(Pascal is more explosive than Calzaghe and Dawson so he'll land on anybody) So basically from your mindset and others, you believe that being younger and faster is all it takes. Dawson said the samething.

Yes. I expect Hopkins to lose clearly for the first time since 1993. He's a shell of what he used to be, and he's faded a lot since he first moved up to light heavyweight.
