Will Hopkins have a harder time with Dawson, than he had with Calzaghe?

Dawson is a pest. People are just waiting for him to disappear. He has very little draw in the US and zero outside of the US.

LHW is done if he beats Hopkins.

Dawson is bigger, stronger, and faster than Hopkins. Dawson is experienced and has been in with really good fighters before, and Hopkins is old breh, I mean old as ****...no way he's able to handle Dawson, IMO. Dawson will win a clear UD.

calzaghe didn't fight on the back foot the way dawson does so that made him easier to get to. joecal probably has better feet and is definitely more active....but there is a reason bhop avoided chad all these years. u'll all see why when they fight.

Wi'll see if Dawson can hold his head this time, when Hopkins starts giving him movement and controlling the pace and making him fight his fight, like did Trinidad, Pavlik, Tarver, Wright, and even Calzaghe. We know Hopkins can adapt but Dawson hasn't shown that he can't adapt when things aren't going his way and he gets very frustrated, like when Pascal was timing him consistently and Tarver cameback in the 2nd half of their second fight.

last i checked....he beat tarver twice.

as for the pascal fight....he was coming on and pascal was coming apart at the seams like a cheap suit. the hometown doc robbed dawson of a come from behind finish. chad was going to stop him.

He beat Tarver twice but he had a harder time with him in the rematch and Hopkins also beat Tarver, a better Tarver than Dawson did. He actually destroyed him. And that's all speculation in the Pascal fight because up until that point, he was getting dominated, with all the so called apparent skills you and everyone keeps saying he has.(and he wasn't gonna knock Pascal out, it's bunch of BS that he and his team keeps saying, he never even hurt Pascal once up until that point, pascal was hurt more due to his fatigue because he has bad stamina) Just goes to show you how styles play a big factor. Hopkins is gonna do everything Pascal did to Dawson but better, because he's better than Pascal and he's gonna smother Dawson in the clinches. He will neutralize his workrate and be more accurate like he always has been. You will see, and than you'll be scratching your head again on why this old man continues to prove everyone wrong.

I think Hopkins age is going to catch up to him in this fight.

Calzaghe could not LEGITIMATELY beat Bernard Hopkins. Nard was facing Calzaghe, Cortez & the judges. If he'd Ko'd calzaghe in round 1 they'd have called it a draw.
All I ask is that the officials are unbiased and the best man wins. That man is.......

    Bernard The Executioner Hopkins

After watching that fight everyone I saw it with agreed that noone would ever see thsi as controversial because Hopkins won 2 or 3 at the MAX rounds.

But... surprise... one is American and black and the other European and White... so ...... Calzaghe could probably have KOed Hopkins in round one and Hopkins being in a coma for 3 days... and these same people would still claim that Hopkins 'could have won on the cards'.

Rule number #1, never bet against Hopkins. Hopkins I believe have a few good fights left in and this is one of them. This fight will be even through midway point but Hopkins will and skill will be the determining factor.

seriously. hopkins isn't capable of being explosive at his advanced age...even with p.e.d's. this fight is going to play out like the last one...hopkins circling...trying a trick or two here and there. he'll try some rough house tactics and dawson will return the favor by bullying the bully. then expect popkins to start his usual complaining to the ref...or flopping....or some other bull****. there's a reason he avoided chad for as long as he did. just remember that.
