Will Hopkins vs Bute take place in Spring 2010? Who has the better chances to win?

at what weight? the heavier, the more chance b-hop has... i give b-hop a big chance anyway

 

That would be one great fight. I think Bute would stop B-Hop.

 

bute isn't as active as calzaghe, but his himself beingn fast and mobile enough and going to b-hops body might give hopkins trouble. still, hopkins too smart and too strong for bute. bute struggled with andrade and andrade no where near as fast as hopkins.

it will be very fun to watch, but only person i see beating hopkins might be dawson and that's a big maybe

 

I hate to say it but it does look like b hop is doing all he possibly can to not fight dawson, schafer didnt even give a valid reason as to why the fight wont happen

 

Bute's able to deal with speed. He have problem dealing with pressure fighters. Hopkins does have speed but he' not a pressure fighter.

 

I love how he has actual rationales for dismissing a number of the fights, then gives no actual reason why Hopkins shouldn't fight Dawson. I can understand it if there's a money issue, but considering how much money HBO paid for the crapfest known as Dawson-Tarver II, I have to imagine they'd be willing to kick in enough money so that Hopkins would make just as much from a Dawson fight as from a Bute or Green fight.

 

Since this last week intrview, it seems that the Green-Hopkins fight is more likely to be held. Unfortunately for me. I would love it to be in Montreal. I think Bute is near his peak. His combination of speed, movement and power would cause problems to Hopkins, who is not in peak for a long time. Hopkins lost twice to Taylor, who is fast but not skilled as much as Bute. Bute by KO.

I know Hopkins likes money, but he should **** or get off the pot already. In his time at light heavyweight, he's fought one actual light heavyweight. For a while, there weren't other opponents who could make him a decent payday at 175, and that's fine. But if he's talking about fighting Bute or Green, he's already lowered his standards to the point that a Dawson fight would net him as much as either of those fights.

I like Bute, but Hopkins is flat out cherry picking now. Green is a limited, one-dimensional light heavyweight who was barely in the top 10 in the weight class at his peak. Bute is a 168 pounder who fights with a very similar style to someone who Hopkins already fought and arguably beat.

In the meantime, there's a legitimate 175 pounder who is considered to be the other best in the weight class, AND the money's there now that HBO's on board with him, AND he'd get to fight in his hometown if he wanted to, yet he won't even discuss making that fight.

 

Is there something not clear in my post?

 

I see Im not the only one who noticed the non excuse from Shaefer of all the fights mentioned the most meaningful and the one anyone really cares about is BHop Dawson.

You must remeber Hopkins wont fight anyone he cant beat thats why he wont fight Dawson.

 

Hopkins seems pretty damn intent on not allowing Dawson to build his name off of him. I find it hard to believe HBO wouldn't be interested in Hopkins-Adamek, either.

Those two would've been my first choices, but I'd be cool with a Bute or Green fight though.
