    Well one of 2 things can happen from here on

    1--- They relize there playing with gangstas , and say fack did'nt knw it was all that dodgy , I'm out of here .

    In which case you can say good on them , they seen the error of theres ways and got out of it . .

    2--- They relize there playing with gangstas , and say fack not a bad life this think i'll carry on with it

    In which case you can say , Bullet or jail , they knew what it was all about so FACK EM . They get what they deserve

    OK here is a quick summary of what I know.
    I am going by reports in "mainstream" media here - in other words "reliable sources" - (or at least as close to reliable as it gets in the Banana Republic of Ireland!)

    There is one Sunday newspaper here that lives off "crime" stories and has been systematically targeting Macklin with gutter gossip for ages. I am NOT quoting from that rag

    As best as I can summarise it:

    The main man is Christy Kinahan (Matt is pally with his son).
    Kinahan Sr and 30 others were arrested in Spain in May 2010 as part of a Europe-wide Police Operation involving British., Irish, Spanish, Dutch police (called Operation Shovel).

    Property and cash assets seized were valued (admittedly valued by the police!) at €500,000,000. Thats 500 million.

    You can probably google it.

    Its difficult to walk away from a money no object, whatever you want on tap lifestyle, no matter who or what is funding it. I know!

    I hear you Ryan. The only thing I can say by way of excuse for guys like Mack and Jamie is that they are far removed from the pain and suffering. They dont see the blood on the streets.

    When they meet the likes of Kinahan jr and Hutch jr, it is is a glamorous setting in sunny Spain. Drugs , addicts, victims etc etc are nowhere in sight. Even Kinahan and Hutch themselves are many layers removed from the junkies etc.

    It is likely too that these guys are very plausible, charming, likeable even genuinely likeable..etc.
    They are "respectable" prosperous businessmen running seemingly "ordinary" businesses - thats the context in which they befriend the likes of Mack and Jamie..
    (Even the worst villan isnt nasty all the time).
    I guess deep down I dont want to believe my sporting heroes could be involved in anything bad....

    I don't know enough about about the people they are involved with or how involved either Jamie Moore or Matt Macklin are with them but although I agree to a certain extent about your statement, do you really think that Jamie who is from Salford and Matt who grew up in Birmingham have not seen first hand what drugs do to others around them? I bet if you were to speak to both about kids they grew up with or knew from their area they could both tell you stories of good kids being beat up/slashed/shot and killed all over the dealing of drugs.
