He gassed way too soon, its a huge flaw but on instinct alone you could see for 5 rounds that he had the tools to deal with Cain if he had more in the tank. If he can fix that stamina then with his power and Cains chin, the fight is in the balance for as long as he is standing. Cain needs to use his jits or he is giving people to many chances to survive. So many times he could have gone for a sub.
Definitely. He did look tired already at the end of the 1st when he got caught big. I really think JDS's biggest problem is (hopefully was) his arrogance going into that fight. I don't know the guy obviously, so can't be sure, but I think he was super over confident in the stand-up and took Cain lightly. That....and Cain Velasquez fought the fight, he should've fought the first time. He did awesome, and was a beast. So Props to Cain also.
Don't know what happens in their 3rd fight. (Obviously assuming they'll have a 3rd fight.) But it's exciting to see these animals. What other division has two guys that have separated themselves away from the rest of the pack like Cain Velasquez and Junior dos Santos have?! **** the entire division and put these guys in the Octagon twice a year.
I don't think he wins the rubber match, and what happens from then on is anyone's guess. The UFC needs to make this match for the summer, too much money to be made, it's the perfect time for another big HW fight and we need to know who the real HW Champ is. We won't know until we know, even if Werdum is to get the next Title Fight (assuming he wins).
