Actually i have seen all of taylor's big fights and some smaller ones like against Edouard and Joppy.

The fact that the 3 guys that beat Taylor (officially) ko'd Miranda and Ward didn't is something i'm aware of and it doesn't mean dick to me. Ward doesn't have to stop Taylor to beat him, Pavlik won by decision in the rematch. I he faster and more skillful than Ward? Please. He's more powerful, sure but while clearly not a ko-artist Ward hits hard enough, he certainly made Kessler respect his punches and Kessler i'd say is somewhat more sturdy than Taylor.

It's nice how you mention Taylor countering with a right hand over a "careless left" like that of Lacy, Pavlik and Froch, but someone who's never seen a fight before in their life can see none of those guys have even a fraction of Ward's speed and in-and-out or side-to-side movement.

As for Ward being able to "gas Taylor", he doesn't have to, Taylor either gasses himself or he throws about 30-35 punches a round. Ward, against Kessler threw about 60 punches a round. You mean to tell me you don't see a potential problem there for Taylor?
By the way, i think that Ward's pace, constant movement and underappreciated strength on the inside most definitely WILL tire Taylor out. Also Ward is faster and Taylor stands too straight up, Ward will hit him A LOT. That should also help.

One more thing, i've seen you and 1 or 2 other posters label Taylor as 'accurate'. Many fighters can be accurate against a rather slow-moving, in-your-face type of opponent like Froch, Pavlik or Lacy. How accurate did Taylor look against Hopkins or Spinks? Taylor is far from a poster-boy for accuracy.

BTW this will be my last post in this thread because i don't like to get into these childish kind of pissing contests that many ESB'ers seem to be so fond of. Unless i'm drunk. Which i'm not.

So if you disagree with me, then you go right ahead. Have a nice day.

i said if there is a way to **** up a fight taylor will. i also said i wouldnt bet on taylor. what i disagreed w/ was you saying essentially that taylor doesnt deserve to be in the same ring as ward. childish pissing contests begin when you say stuff like that.

Good points, but there have always been good points in favor of Taylor, for the rematch with Pavlik, for the fights with Froch and Abraham and he still lost. My argument against Taylor winning are:

    1) Ward will be the first fighter with a speed advantage over Taylor and speed was always his best asset.

    2) Three knockout losses in two years take their toll, at least mentally, if not on Taylor's refelxes and punch resistance.

    3) Taylor is rarely able to put his best assets to use and he does think about losing a lot now before fights. he said before fighting Abraham: "If I don't get tired, I will win" Didn't really sound confident. What if Ward's speed bothers him early? Will he be able to adapt? I doubt it.

I think that if Taylor was capable of mounting a come back, he'd have knocked out, or at least beat Abraham. AA was there for the taking all night long, but Taylor looked like a mere shell of his old self.

The only thing that really interests me about Ward/Taylor is this: JT is NOT a gentleman in the ring. When Ward starts his bull****, Jermain WILL retaliate, and that might heat things up for a little while.

JT has a very good chance to win the fight against Ward...I'm very confident even with the 2 KOs in a row. Ward won't KO him. JT by UD

    No.

The insignificant cut under his right eye was caused by an accumulation of jabs puffing and eventually tearing the skin.

Both major 'ditches,' one over each eye, were caused by butts.

I picked Jermain over Pavlik, TWICE !

    I picked him over Froch.

    I had AA a 50-50 fight.

This is my LAAAAAST time !

    I'm picking him over Ward.

No way Jermain's gonna lose to a black boy !

I'm afraid I am going to have to declare this thread a joke. As a Ward fan, the Taylor-Ward fight is the one I am least looking forward to in Stage 2 of the Super Six. It is unlikely that Ward will murder Taylor the way Froch and Abraham did (as will Kessler), but it is very likely that Ward will box Taylor's ears off and cruise to victory. Taylor never did belong in this tournament in the first place. Many figured that out after Froch, let alone NOW, after Abraham. And furthermore, after Ward beat down Kessler. How many clues do people need? I'm starting to think that people start threads for attention.

I think JT matches up well against ward. if the last ko does not have a lasting impact on him, I think it will be a close fight.
