With Taylor having his first fight at 168(Pavlik rematch was at 166) will he eventually become the man at 168 like he was at 160?.....When Taylor beats Lacy he unfortunately won't get the credit he deserves because of Lacy lackluster performances in his last few fights, but when he gets past Lacy and if Kessler gets by Haussler,a Taylor vs. Kessler fight would answer the thread title question but as of right now what do you think of Taylor's chances of being the man at 168?

    No.

Taylor will never be the same after the back to back losses.

And he wasn't that good to begin with (just ask Corey Spinks).

I don't know if he will rule, but he sure makes it interesting. Kessler -Taylor would be great.

Its certainly possible, it depends on what he's learned if anything in defeat. He's still young and I could see him ruling 168 if he bounces back the way many expect him

As much as I like Tayor, I doubt he will but he is one of the elite.. If he should beat Lacy, which I think he will, then he'll have a shot at Froch/Pascal for the WBC title I do believe.. I would love to see a Taylor/Kessler fight in which I'd give Kessler the edge to.. More than likely Pavlik will be moving up and he's already beaten him twice.. I'll say Taylor will be right there behind Kessler and Pavlik..

Yes I think he will rule the division but will eventually lose it again when Pavlik moves up. I would pick Taylor over Kessler in a close fight though.

Hard to say. Guys at 168 fight on the inside pretty good. JT can not fight inside at all. He grabs or clinches when you get close and that is part of the reason he gets tired in fights. He doesn't throw straight shots. He has a great jab and decent combos, but if he has to fight someone who is rough and tough, it spells trouble. He might be able to snatch a title, but he won't be a dominant champ by any means...

Maybe not necessarily rule, but I think his only real threat is Kessler, maybe Bute.

He certainly has a shot and should do well at the weight.

I asked Corey Spinks and Corey said that he ran from Taylor all night and didn't deserve anything except a gold medal in the 1000m Dash.

Yep, I agree. Taylor has a good chance. Very good, IMO. He's still got plenty left.

That "runner" was a former welterweight (small one at that) and still managed to pretty much outbox Taylor. Taylor has natural talent, but poor stamina and couldn't even rule middleweight. I don't know why the sudden confidence in him ruling super middle. I don't even know if he could past andrade let alone bute and kessler.
