Taylor won't fight him though. How's he going to box his ears off?

    Why won't/wouldn't he?

If Froch beats Pascal (which he should) and Taylor beats Lacy (as he should), the two would be set for a real face off 168.

I think so ... he's not trying to knock people out anymore and I think he's always been an underrated boxer.

The talent in 168 is far better at 168 than it was at 160 ... Taylor will reign supreme at that weight -- he will step his game up and become a force.

There are several good fights coming up soon at 168. The landscape will probably change quite a bit. Plus Pavlik's move up is inevitable.

Taylor's hands and feet are too fast for Kessler, but Kessler/Pavlik is a 50/50 fight. There's no reason for a third Pavlik/Taylor fight. We could actually end up with a situation where we have 3 very strong titlists with no clearly dominant champion.

Taylor could have fought Froch for the WBC title now, but chose to fight Lacy instead.

Why are we supposed to believe that he will fight Froch for the WBC title next? Why not now?

Probably because that was the plan. He's picking Lacy in that classic "rebound" fight. It's also his first fight at 168 (unless I'm mistaken which I may be) so it's more of a litmus test fight for him.

He's coming off two losses....he's allowed a bounce back fight.

The WBC already named the winner of Taylor/Lacy as the first mandatory for the winner of Froch/Pascal. Jesus ****ing christ man! Do you even follow boxing??

Now, name one person the JT ducked in the past.

Because he could get more money against Lacy and he needs a tune up fight more than anyone else in boxing.

Do you actually think that JT would take on Hopkins, Winky, and Pavlik and "duck" Carl Froch? :rofl

Yeah I'm not a huge Taylor fan by any means...but he took on Winky Wright, Kelly Pavlik and Bernard Hopkins at 160. Add into account his fight with Froch on the horizon and you can see that the guy isn't a ducker by any means.

Actually I'll be a bit surprised if Froch gets past Pascal. Sloppy, sloppy fighter!
