will Joe Calzaghe be p4p very best boxer after the super fight?!

The funny thing is with these Hopkins and Floyd fans, they say 'Joe never beat P4P this and P4P that', then they use the Ring's rankings to justify who is P4P and who is not.

I really don't think DLH at 160 and Trinidad at 160 were anything in the way of P4P class fighters, nor do I think Hatton was a P4P class fighter ever since his controversial decision against Collazo and the following fights that weren't the least bit impressive against average competition. When you bring up the status of those fighters, they just go back to 'well they were P4P ranked' as if it's the law....

Well guys, Hoppy's P4P ranked just like those overrated fighters. Hopkins is not overrated, just aged and his current status is overrated. Just like Trinidad was too small for 160, Hatton was too small for 147 and the like, there are PROBLEMS at hand with these overrated wins. Problems that are to the equivalent of an aged 'P4P fighter' at his natural weight range.

NOR do I in anyway feel that Hopkins is currently a P4P fighter, to me you could at best make a case for top 15-20, that's it. But the Ring and many of these bozo's have him ranked in the top 5, so Joe completely dominating Hopkins, then getting no credit from these guys who issue credit off of beating whoever is in the Ring's top 10 DESPITE what state those fighters are in, are going to be looking for a new way to rate fighters in a P4P sense I believe.:yep :good

I have long stated that I only give Calzaghe credit if he dominates Hopkins, that's it.

 

My question is to you does Joe's resume throughly impress you? Seriously I think he deserves all the accolades he's been receiveing but his resume is less than stellar, Bhop will be a nice addition for sure. Of the three best on his resume Eubanks was past his prime Lacey and Kessler where far overhyped for fighting contendars and has beens.....(though solid wins no doubt they dont hurt his resume but again they dont justify his godly status at the moment)

 

Kessler is a good fighter

 

He sure is, and he still has time to improve. I would'nt say he was outclassed by Calz because I actually think Kessler has better technique but Calz adaptability, versatility and exp is what pulled him through that fight. You see a good fighter is well schooled, well trained and disciplined. A great fighter is the aforementioned with a sprinkle of inconsistancy and kaleidoscopic aptitude. :hey

 

No simply because Joe Calzaghe did not fight is mandatory for over 10 years...
