    Will he be tempted back?

right now Calzaghe is comfortable in retirement

eating good food and drinking fine wine............

enjoying time shagging his glamour girlfriend Emma Jo

    spending time with his kids

doing things - like playing golf and enjoying life - going on holidays, etc

he may dabble in helping his verbally challenged father train fighters

    setting up his promoter company

and sitting on a multi million pound fortune from a very successful career

But he is still a fighter at heart

    Will he get bored?

    Will he be tempted?

Will he feel envy at seeing a Froch become the new main man?

Will he feel he still has a point to prove and rise to the challenge?

Will Joe Calzaghe ever fight again?

Calzaghe KO Maccarinelli during the ring walk wearing 50oz gloves.

Nah, I get the feeling Joe knows his mind, has a decent sense of self worth, and he's gone for good.

The only caveat being his ego, which told him he should have been getting the big paypays like Hatton... if he was offered very big money he would possibly do it. But maybe he thinks he's done the big fight, big money thing now with the Hopkins and RJJ fights.

Cant see him fighting again and his demeanor is as though he has no interest or love to carry on fighting.

Plus he doesnt need to he has a legacy and he is one of our greatest ever fighters.

    Maybe, but I doubt it.

He was extremly fortunate not to be found out already, so why risk it one more time.

Joe needed someone to threaten him. In his mind he was the best. He done away with his demons in X and RJJ. They always got the recognition and he always thought he was better. In beating them he feels vindicated. There needed to be some young hot shot killer that everyone said would beat Joe. There was Pavlik and Dawson and neither were enough to convince him to stay.

He did that with Kessler and Jeff Lacy, maybe that's enough for him.
    I hope so.

Calzaghe's doubters will always doubt, he could knock Vitali out and they'd make an excuse.

In both those situations his supremacy was in doubt. He had to fight them to be considered the best. 175 was to exorcise some demons - namely X and RJJ. Calzaghe thought those wins made him the best. If Dawson wasn't dodgy against Johnson I think there would have been more pressure to make that fight.

If Calzaghe was to fight again he better make it sooner rather than later

I'd like to see him have one more fight in Cardiff to close his career where it started

a all British showdown against Carl Froch - could be catch weight between 168-175 LBS

    no titles needed

But if Calzaghe does it - do in now - 2009

there is no sense coming back in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 - he will be past it then

but he only last fought in November 2008 - so if he fought one more time - he best do it at least within a year from his last fight
