He's dragging this 205lb run out now. To be honest, he's been at 205 for way too long. He should have moved up a few years ago. I think his reach and overall size is a joke, always has been. Gus was the only guy to rival him in size, and that didn't fare well for him the first time around. I know JBJ had his suspension, but the opponents at HW were much more attractive in terms of name value. OSP or Cain? Smith or Stipe?
Well he struggled BADLY with an average middleweight last time out and also another journeyman middleweight in Smith took him the full 5 rds. Imo he has been USADA'd and that is why his performances over recent years have been average. He is fighting off his ped's. I think he loses some time soon. Not sure if he will ever fight true legit heavyweights like Miocic.
PED's have nothing to do with the skills Jones has or things he can do in the cage that few if any are able to match but the Jones haters and those with absolutely no clue like the fool above me will continue to use the argument to try and diminish all of his past and future victories that have made him the best light-heavyweight and 1 of the top 5 MMA fighters ever. I think Jones will eventually move up to a weak Heavyweight division and become a 2 division champion before he retires with Stipe probably the only 1 at the moment capable of preventing it
Then why take PED's then ? he is a multiple time ped's cheat. Look at Jones before usada when he destroyed guys at 205 like they didn't belong in the cage with him now since usada has caught him multiple times he goes the distance with journeyman middleweights like Santos and Smith and many people think Santos actually beat him. Thats embarrassing for Jones. Come on do you think Lance Armstrongs ped's usage had nothing to do with him excelling at cycling tours ? Florence Griffith Joyner ? Marion Jones ? Ben Johnson ? etc etc etc. It very OBVIOUSLY makes a huge difference to an athletes performance.
Everybody says this about Lance, but even his closest rivals admit that he was just a flat-out beast in the saddle WITHOUT PEDS.
