Will the title fight between Jon Jones and Rashad Evans open the door to other teamates fighting each other like Anderson/Machida?
It's seemed obvious to me for years that the issue of teammates refusing to fight each other in MMA was going to come to a head sooner or later. I think that in the coming years there are going to be several other guys who will be faced with the prospect choosing to fight a teammate or getting cut by the UFC. It's really not pleasant to be forced to fight a good friend, but MMA is business as well as a sport. There are plenty of cases of current or former sparring partners fighting each other in boxing. I don't think that it should be this big of a deal.
I dont know it doesnt seem like these guys are as close as the likes of Machida-Silva, Fitch-Koscheck and others who straightup refuse any fight talks.
