Will Joshua grow a pair and fight Doughnut Wilder next?

AJ is vastly inexperienced to be fighting for a title now. Beating Wilder is one thing. Defending the title against the top fighters in the division is another.

It is the problem Khan and many others had who were rushed too quick; they didn't have the necessary boxing education on the way up to iron out any kinks. This is the problem with having four belts in a division. You can take the path of least resistance to become a world champion without actually being ready to be a proper champion.

Also, beating Wilder is not a foregone conclusion. Wilder was awful last night, but I would imagine that was down to him trying to go for the one punch KO in front of his home crowd. He didn't use his jab properly, loaded up on every shot, threw wide shots instead of straight ones which would have been better against the high guard of Molina, he didn't look to spin off and counter and instead just jumped back when Molina came forward and he didn't fight to a game plan. Against Stiverne he did all of the above.

Wilder is good, but has the potential to be so much better, but due to him having it all to easy on his way up he still posses many of the flaws he has carried for years. Rush AJ and he will be another Wilder.

 

Both Joshua and Povetkin, today and right now would absolutely destroy Wilder.

Wilder is one of the most artificially constructed, frauds of a HW belt holder I have seen in boxing.

He is literally a failed amateur BBaller who found himself in a ring because he is tall and has all manner of bums taking dives for him to make it look like he packs a punch.

Joshua would KTFO Wilder inside 2 rounds and Povetkin would do it in 3 rounds.

Wilder does not fight either now and most likely will look pay step aside money to avoid any real challengers for another 18 months. He may then get over confident and cash out.

 

Wilder will keep feasting on bums untill he is forced to fight Povetkin (which won't happen as the WBC want their next American Tyson) or unify against Wladamir and cash out by getting his chin smashed to pieces.

 

Inexperienced or not, such is the poor quality of the HW division that he could beat Wilder now. Wilder is probably one of the worst HW belt holders i've seen, he's been lucky to only face a poor level.

 

It would be complete madness to put AJ in with Wilder right now.

Not because I don't think he could win (because to be honest, there's not actually that much between the level of competition they've fought) but because there's one thing winning the title, but then you have to stay there and remain on top.

AJ isn't prepared yet, there is no rush.

 

What a ridiculous post. There is no chance Wilder and his handlers will take a risk with Joshua, just look at his opposition to date. He will fight bums until he has to face Povetkin and most probably lose that one.

 

He has to fight Povetkin next and I'd say that he's the underdog in that fight given his performance against Molina.

No need to rush Joshua at this stage- a big domestic fight in September would suffice for 2015 before cracking on in 2016.

I remember a while back tony thompson was being discussed as a the next fight for this fraud, but now wach???
