When you think of Tito at Middleweight, you forget just how brutally powerful and accurate he was at 154lb and 147lb, in particular. The guy was extremely talented fighter, he just couldn't have picked two guys who were more suited for his style than Wright and Hopkins.

Too early to answer this question, but JuanMa looks to have all of the tools to go on to have the same kind of success. He'll need to get as high as 130lb and 135lb if he wants to do it though.

Could you please post the post where illegal wraps were found on Tito's???
Because so far the only thing the people involved has said was: "We wanted him to re-wrap because it looked suspicious".

but does he have the opponents to elevate and raise his stock...resume is more important than overall ability in ATG rankings

Same **** got done to Marco Antonio Barrera, and I know nobody is going to say he ever wore illegal hand wraps.

    Innocent till proven guilty.

He didn't knock Hopkins out because nobody knocks Hopkins out. He didn't land consistently on Hopkins because nobody lands consistently on Hopkins.

It was a style issue, the whole illegal hand wrapping is a myth.

If he climbs the weight divisions and clears out then I should imagine so. Gamboa, Guerrero, Vasquez, Marquez, Caballero, Valero, etc could all be potential opponents in his future. Staying at 122lb will not get it done.

Depending on what Gamboa goes on to achieve, that is disputable.

Plus, there are other opponents out there that will emerge over the coming years.

Like I say, it's too early to answer the question either way.

if he wins at title at 135, then we can debate...juanma, darchinyan and wladimir are racing who among themselves would be first to crack at the top 100 ATG

JuanMa and Darchinyan have a very long way to go before that ever happens, if ever.

JuanMa will need to span at least three divisions if he wants to be a household name like Tito was. Vic needs to avenge his defeat to Donaire, and I don't see how he can beat The Flash.

It's ironic that he brutally dominated both of his last two opponents, one was Penalosa, the other was undefeated, and yet people aren't impressed.

If Juanma beats JMM, Pac, Guzman, Linares, Gamboa, Valero, Rafa, Izzy, then in my books he surpasses Tito's acocmpilshments.

so who do you think would be the next to enter the top 100 ATG?
i tell you if darchinyan wins 118 and 122 belts, he can make a case in being top 100

I will put my money on Gamboa if ever they ever fight somewhere along the way.
