... Miguel Angel Cotto's resume' and accomplishments, or will he come up short?

Trinidad stated that Juan Manuel Lopez would be the next "Tito". That was a great TKO in his last fight, but consider the opposition. The Ponce De Leon victory was the **** though!!! But can he continue to dominate and take on the likes of Celestino Caballero, Rafa Marquez, Izzy Vasquez, Concepcion, and Bautista?

This kid has the potential to be just as great as Tito. Little Tito has five kids already so I know he's a hungry fighter

    Yes he can.

And he is more like Tito then Cotto is. I said it a while ago that JuanMa's right hook is probably the best hook since Tito's left. That thing is a killer.

    Very modest of Tito.

Juanma will be much better than Tito.
Tito didn't have that great of a defense nor the ability to make
    adjustments in the ring.

    Juanma is an exciting fighter.

I heard what Trinidad said about Lopez. All I can say is that it made alot of sense to me.

Lopez speaks so highly of Tito its normal that Tito will throw him a flower

and btw i think Molitor should at least get mentioned in these threads. Also, the winner of Cabellero vs Molitor is #1 contender in the division behind Vasquez and ahead of JuanMa

Hell yeah ... he's not too over aggressive, he stays calm in the ring, he come correct to a fight, and he's very particular about his punches and doesn't look sloppy when he punches ... like Tito he throws nothing but straight punches and even his right hook is short and crisp.

I think when its all said and done he will surpass Cotto ... I think he will unify titles and I think he will give praise to his country and his countrymen ... something that Cotto doesn't do. Cotto seems to fight for himself and theres a bigger picture when you a non-american fighting in America ... he has to represent where he's from and say it proudly whenever he's victorious.

I think that Juanma can beat Gamboa ... he's more calm in the ring and thats an attribute that many fighters don't have. He's never anxious when fighting ... I think in the long run thats going to hurt Gamboa ... becomes you see at times he can be over anxious ... before Lopez got a title - he was fighting and conducting himself like a champion.

Gamboa also has flaws that will hold him back in the future ... all that offense can do anything for his longevity ...

I do aree, Juanma is a very mature boxer for his age, demonstrating patience. Gamboa just needs to relax a little more.

I havn't seen Juanma go the distance in a hard fought fight, not to say he hasn't. I can't say I've seen him take a solid shot either. All the fights I've seen, he has totally dominated. Has any one seen him demonstrate a solid chin? or is this yet to be seen?

I think Caballero would probly give him a ****ing war, at least right now. I see JuanMa getting better in every fight so his best is yet to be seen.

I haven't seen him in a war either ... I have to say that Juanma's defense is also good ... he doesn't allow himself to get hit with some bull****.
