The WBC have given Katie Taylor until August 28th to decide if she will fight Chantelle Cameron or vacate.

Taylor doesn't sound keen and may even be claiming an injury?

Hopefully all will be revealed in the next few days.

I hope she retires to be fair, she's 40, on the decline and takes a lot of punches these days. Walk away with wealth and health and having beaten everyone shes faced.

Agree. She has made some very handy money - particularly in her past few fights - and the smart decision would be to say enough is enough and get on with her life.

Katie Taylor has been granted another 3 weeks by the WBC to come to terms with Chantelle Cameron.

The had been instructed to reach a deal by August 28 to avoid a purse bid. However, WBC officials have agreed to further push forward the deadline to accommodate Taylor, despite the increasing disappointment of Cameron.

Hearn insisting Taylor won't fight until next year and says if that mean she sheds the WBC belt, so be it.
