His best days are behind him, too many wars. People will always pay to see Katsidis, he gives fans value for money. IMO he could : Become a gatekeeper = Fight upcoming contenders and prospects, although as gate keepers go, he'd be right at the top of the pile. Bide his time for 140 : Alexander has moved up, Khan and Bradley are going up thus leaving 140 pretty open, fight B level fights and then fight for a vacant title, just avoid a rematch with RG the ghost, and Brandon Rios if he moves up. (though I'd love to see that one) The U.K = Katsidis has said he'd love to live in England, do it and sign with FrankW, Katsidis has a following here in the UK and Frank would use him as a test to see if his fighters are ready for World level fights.
Re-match Kevin Mitchell and get the career back on track by KO'ing him a second time, since his stock has taken a big rise since their first bout. So, low-level top ten or just out of top ten caliber guys. Plan to move to 140 full time unless he doesn't translate up well (he should know). How could HBO or Showtime not buy even a Katsidis vs. Acosta fight?
I think Katsidis should have beaten Burns In saying this, i think Burns has alot to offer to the sport and he will win a full belt in the lightweight division. I also think Burns easily accounts for Mitchell. I honestly was not impressed with Mitchell V Murray because i think Murray is really poor also. We will have alot more respect for Katsidis' loss V Burns once Burns' career pans out a little further. Katsidis is not the katsidis of 3-4 yrs ago. I think his prime was around the Escobedo win. He looked all class in that fight. Relentless moreso. HE NEEDS TO FIX HIS RIGHT HAND. I honestly think something is wrong with it physically. May want to take some time off, fix it if it indeed is a physical thing even if that means have surgery and take off 12 months, then come back and throw a proper &$$#@ right hand. Katsidis still has alot to offer. I believe he can beat an Acosta type character for a full belt. Maybe WBA type etc.
