HEll NO!!!!. The ghost is a mere image of himself. He reminds me of antonio tarver. Without Roy jones he wasnt jack, just a has been. The same with Pavlik. Without Jermain Taylor he has become a has been. Plus not to mention he is still tramatized from B-HOP wooping that @ss at 43. Paul is a freak of nature and will destroy Pavlik. Time to dominate. Pound for pound best is going down. Paul williams. :bbb:bart
I sure hope PW gets Pavlik outta there. I've never liked watching KP. I was extremely pissed when JT lost to him the first time. I think JT just needs to do what he does and like run for the last 2 rounds.... I wanna see a knockout from PW. I think its more likely to happen with the southpaw factor being on williams' side.
I think Paul Williams is the more talented guy here. However, I'm not sure he can handle Pavlik's power. I'm rooting for Williams though, nothing against Pavlik but Williams represents everything good about boxing. Talented, skilled, loves to fight and wants to fight the best
I don't like both fighters, but I predict Williams will win. Some people really underestimate Williams size. He really is a natural middleweight, he does have good power, hits even harder than even Andre Ward.
I first saw Williams on ESPN back when he had just a handful of fights. I liked him right off and have been a fan ever since. I first saw Pavlik when he fought Bronco McKart. After I saw the way Pavlik decimated the double tough McKart I knew he'd beat Taylor. Since the rumours of a Pavlik/Williams showdown surfaced, I rewatched Williams/Phillips and Williams/Wright. I also rewatched a few Pavlik fights. Sorry guys, but this one isn't going to be a fight. It's going to be an assination. KP by KO, or perhaps I should say brutal KO. This will not end well for Paul.
Anybody's whose watched both these fighters knows it's not going to be an automatic KO, but if you really think that smacking Winky Wright--one of my personal favorite fighters, btw--at 160 in 2008 makes you ready for KP, who throws a good 75-90 a round, all of which either have mean intentions or are backing up a punch with bad intentions, well, I guess the least I can say is that you haven't taken everything into account. This fight comes off, mark wy words, it's competitive for about 2 rounds, long enough for Kelly to realize Pwilly can't hurt him, then the last 3-5 are a bloodshed. PW just can't compete with guys the size of KP; it negates his advantages in reach/height. KP T/KO 6, mark my words...
It might go longer than that. It depends on PWilly's approach. If he is his normal agressive self, it goes 5-6 rounds like you said. If he fights smart, he could be the first guy to make it to the 10th with KP at 160.
You guys need to stop all this post because they read this **** and will get scareed and not fight. I want them to fight!
Fair enough; how do you NOT root for a kid like this... At this point PW is kinda like Chad Dawson minus the emphatic wins against the best in his division; hopefully Pwill lives up to the hype...
Fighting Pavlik is not in Paul's best interest. I've said for a long time he should settle in at 154, and rule the division for awhile. Goosen may be thinking they can still do that if Paul loses to KP. However, judging from the post-pavlik careers of other fights, that may not be possible.
I'll disagree with you and say Pavlik does retain his title against Williams in a late round stoppage.
