I don't think he will, I think Froch is a monster and the confidence he has i feel he will box for 2 rounds and then walk through him,..:good C'mon Carl ....
I just cant get rid of this thought that Kessler is gonna stop Carl Froch. I dont know why. It seems far fetched I know. But I gotta tell ya jim, I gotta feeling! :hey Either that or it will be another competitive 12 round war.
I have a feeling this fight will be more of a boxing match compared to the first fight, but mid rounds to late rounds will be more of a brawl if one fighter can't impose his style. I'm not sure who will win Kessler I think is more past prime than Carl Froch.
I think Froch will stop Kessler, think it will be in the later rounds though. If Kessler's eyes are still ****ed, Kessler will get cut and the ref will end up stopping it.
I think its clear that Kessler has tailed of a bit, whereas Froch has gone forwards a bit. The key to this fight is establishing the jab. And in my insignificant opinion, Mikkel's jab is on another level compared to Carl's. Carl throws it out as a measuring stick and to be awkward more than anything. He throws it out so slow and lazy, ELITE level fighters pop him with 2-3 punches while he is reaching out with it. Just look at Andre Ward. Whilst Kessler is no Andre Ward. He is a decent boxer and a WARRIOR, he has been here and done it all before. On away ground, against Joe Calzaghe and Joe Calzaghe is 100x the boxer than Carl Froch is skills wise. Kessler's jab is better and he can take a punch just as much as Froch can. So the question for me is, can Carl bring it from round 1? Froch is a notorious slow starter, if he wants to win, IMO he has to bring it even more so than he did against Bute. From 1st to the last. But when he brings it like that, he leaves himself so open, and I can see Kessler catching him of guard, whether he can finish it, I dont know. But I can see Froch going down in this fight.
all good opinions here thanks lads, well done! But I just think Carl has got more desire this time, and i can't see him losing,
Part of me thinks that after all this warrior talk in the build up we see a short, explosive fight. That wouldn't be good for further Box Office events.
Kessler has a good chin he's only been stopped on cuts after getting butted by Ward, I don't foresee a stoppage win for either man as we also know Froch has a solid beard as well. I think it'll be a war from the start as Froch can't afford to let Kessler into the fight at all, if he lets Kessler get his jab going and allows him to find a rhythm he might find it a long nights work. I think he needs to come out and throw plenty of leather from the off and make it a physical fight, he had his hands ridiculously low in the first fight and threw his punches far too wide. He needs to be snappier with his jab and use better use of his movement he can't get caught flat footed too much and when he was caught a lot of the time in their first fight it was after he'd missed with a looping punch and was off balance so he needs to tidy that up. I could see Froch just out toughing and out working him but I don't think he'll get the stoppage although I'm hoping he does!
It's hard for me to imagine him even making it past three where a much more iron chinned defensive wizard like Mack made it to, frankly.
Kessler is a warrior and will be swinging till the last bell, but I think Froch pips him 115-113 across the cards. Mikkel is refreshed and will have the weight of a nation on his shoulders.
What is this ****? Froch fought Kessler already...........and lost. What kind of a bull**** question is that to pose? It's Froch that needs to prove himself. Will Froch lose again? would be a more reasonable question.
Froch landed his best shots on Kessler in the first fight and didn't get close to stopping him, I just don't follow how people think that in the last couple of years Froch has suddenly developed the power to KO him easily and Kessler's chin has turned to china?!!
If it turns out to be a brawl like the first, then I favour Froch to stop him by the later rounds. Kessler is damaged goods and his skin won't hold up. In a war of attrition, he's disadvantaged big time. I think Froch, with home advantage, will know he can play it safe and bag points, and only really go for the kill on occassions when he has him hurt. Kessler, however, will feel the need to show more urgency and I can see him walking into shots that'll slow him down.
