I know guys and it's Floyd all the way BUT facts; Mayweather has fought four Golden Boy Fighters in a row Khan has expressed interest in the fight and moving up Khan is high risk vs. anyone with a huge punch and GBP know it GBP want a mega fight in the UK Khan is trained by Roach who HATES Floyd and would welcome it Pacquiao and Floyd look unlikely to agree terms This is based on Khan maintaining his win streak and Floyd hanging around. Is it possible this fight goes down in 2011?
In 2012...maybe Khan has to go thru first....Alexander, Bradley, Maidana, Ortiz..... and he may have to fight this guys more then once....
Roach is on record as saying that Khan has the potential to be a P4P #1, but that it will take him another 5 years to reach that peak. Can't see Khan fighting Mayweather assuming Money retires in the next couple of years. However, I think 2010/2011 is going to be an amazing year for Khan - lots of great fights for him out there.
Maybe late next year, after the tubes are taken out and Mayweather's complete recovery from the Pac-induced coma
If he successfully clears the 140 division (which by the way is a mountain of a task!) in a couple of years time, then I suppose there will be a slight possibility that Floyd (if he's still around) would say yes to a nice comfortable pay day. The result of course is obvious, but I'm sure Khan by then wouldn't mind having a go at an ATG. He can either be humiliated, or give a good account of himself with a guttsy performance. A competitive points loss would do wonders for him, and win over a few fans
Floyd cant afford to fight another fighter south of 147 unless they come up to 147 and prove their worth...i cant see Khan doing so.
Roach didn't let his best fighter, pac, in the ring with a 37 year old Shane Mosley, he's not going to let his soft chinned champ in there with the most accurate puncher in the game.
Floyd has just toppled the consensus 3rd best welter in the world via cakewalk. Fighting Khan in a year or so would not hinder him to anyone who knows what they're talking about. PS - What's Floyd's moniker? Money!= and that match up will provide plenty of it, if held in the UK.
