Will Khan be the one pressing the fight like he use to before he fought Prescott or will he stick with the safety first approach that he fought Kontelnik with?
He needs to balance both acts, be smart, pick the right time to press or just box. I get the feeling Khan is going to put on a show to make a statement to the rest of the boxing world that he means business and is a future mega star in the sport. I dont see the fight with Sailta going past 6 rounds as Khan's hand speed and movement will be too much for slow footed Salita. Khan will make the weight better and be stronger after his long break and rest.
I'd definitely go out and pressure. Salita can't fight going backwards to save his life. Look to really put the guy away. If Khan is serious about being a top level champion, he shouldn't allow a guy like this to take him the distance.
I see him using the safety first approach to begin with, and when his momentum and confidence is built, he'll spot more windows and up the pace a little bit. But it all depends on what sort of Salita turns up. If he's tough and resilient as Kotelnik was, then I can't see Roach allowing him to take risks.
I think he will box at first as a feel-out, Freddie will assess the situation and will probably tell him to start pressuring with his speed. Don't forget, Roach and Khan both know he has a dodgy chin (even though they won't admit it).
Yeah Khan is definitely going to win this fight but I do agree with you that he has to make a statement with this fight by putting on an entertaining show without no trouble.
I think he will be boxing him for the first 4 rounds, I dont think he will come in try and blast Salita out of there early, I dont think Roach would let him. He might start setting his feet a bit more after that, he definitely has the speed and power advantage to take him out though.
This fight aint going past the 6th round , first few rounds Khan will box smart get a feek for what Salita has to offer then dominate and stop him by the end of the 6th
