arthur abraham sure as hell ain't no bhop. i just really want to see this fight actually happen finally. ive got pavlik all the way.
Between two punchers like Pavlik and Abraham it´s unlikely the fight goes the distance. The thing is Pavlik has a leaky defence and a shaky chin while Abraham has huge one punch power. Abraham has a very good, tight defence and a great chin while Pavlik is more the accumulation puncher. These things are clearly in favour of Abraham BUT since Arthur has a low workrate and Pavlik has a high one it´s a sure win for Pavlik if it goes the distance. Imo Abraham takes it but it´s close to a 50/50 fight.
would have hopkins done the same thing to abraham???????? pavlik needs a few bum fights to regain confidence before thinking about facing abraham, as abraham is still on a roll and full of confidence.
Abraham has been getting seriously over rated on ESB since he knocked out Miranda. He knocked out a guy who has lost every major fight he has had, and now, to hear some posters tell it, he's an elite level monster. Pavlik, on the other hand, lost to Hopkins. Lately I've been seeing threads that rate BHop os a top 5 or at least top 10, all time great middleweight. And God knows, there have certainly been plenty of "I hate Kelly Pavlik" threads. According to the current majority Kelly is an over rated hype job who got exposed. I suspect that in the end this thread will turn out to be extremely one-sided in favor of Abraham. However, Arthur is not in the same league with Pavlik. Arthur has the balls of a rhinocerous. He covers up fairly well, and has a ton of one-punch power. Other than that, Pavlik has every advantage. At 160 he's stronger, faster, has better boxing skills, a better resume, a higher KO ratio, and simply has more choices in this match-up. Arthur needs a KO to win, but he won't get it. His offense is to sloppy, and his feet are not fast enough to close the distance. He's target practice for Pavlik.
AA by KO, because Pav's offensive style is perfect for AA. AA will counterpunch Pavlik and that's the end of the fight.
Kelly's huge reach advantage prevails in this one. No need for Kelly to get in range. AA does a form of rope-a-dope. He needs his opponent to get lulled to sleep and become 'emboldened'. I just don't see Kelly falling for that.
If Abraham and PAv fight next year, I expect Abraham to put Pav out of boxing for good. Pav will never again fight at the level he once fought at after AA ko's him. Pav can't box a lick, and Abraham can. Boxers beat punchers and in this case, Abraham is the boxer AND the puncher lol...
