Will King Arthur Beat Kelly Pavlik?

I'd rather see Pavlik vs Williams actually.

 

I wouldnt write off Pavlik based on this last fight, 170 is clearly not his weight, 160 will better serve him and in a unification with Abraham, it will be interesting to see How AA deals with someone who knows how to operate behind their jab, who can crack just as hard.

I think Pavlik wins this fight, I dont think lossing to Hopkins is a bad thing.

I believe so.. Pavlik may have a way higher workrate, but Abraham has a great defense and he can take shots to the body and his iron chin.. If he let Miranda tee off on his body and it didn't phase him, then I don't see him having any kind of problems with Pavliks power.. If it goes to decision, Pavlik will win, but I do believe Abraham can KO Pavlik.. Abraham has the punch of a mule and one punch from him can change a whole fight..

I do think the Hopkins loss plays into this.It´s in a way similar to Wlad vs. Peter.Wlad was coming off two losses and knew another loss against Peter would pretty much ruin his career.If you don´t have nerves of steel this will affect you.You will be more careful start thinking when s.th doesnt´t go according to plan, become nervous etc...This will be in the back of Pavlik´s mind when fighting Abraham even if he wins one or two more fights in the meantime.Let´s be real here if he loses against Abraham by KO nobody will care about Pavlik anymore.Pavlik knows that too.In fact after Abe knocks him out i can see Pavlik losing by decision against Sturm...he won´t be the same fighter anymore.

Tough to say. It's a really good match up. I give a slight edge to kelly. 60/40.

Best possible match up at 160 though of course. Needs to happen mid-09!

Abraham KTFO Pavlik by the mid rounds.
Pavlik waaaay to easy to hit. Abraham waaaay to hard to hurt.
Abraham one punch power > Pavlik one punch power
