Curious to see the ratings for ESPN.

Loma made $1.2 million in his 9th fight, and he’s 29. I’m sure GGG was fighting for peanuts in his 9th fight.

P4P I have Loma higher. Head to head he’s simply more skilled.

However, Loma is a small dude and I can’t ever see him campaigning at 147. 135 will be his natural limit, maybe 140. The smaller weights simply don’t get casual fan interest.

Will Loma ever be able to sell out a 20k Madison square garden?? Will he ever headline a PPV?

Probably, idk about Lomachenko being a lot better h2h than him but he has top rank behind him to where GGG has never had the full support of a big promoter.

Probably not. GGG has one punch KO power. I'll make the analogy to baseball. You always know GGG can hit that grand slam, home run. Loma consistenly gets the singles, doubles, some home runs and has a higher batting avg. Loma is the better baseball player. That doesn't mattter, the fans want home runs.

Loma doesn't talk enough like Floyd/Conor to get the hype.

Moreover, Loma needs a popular and potential dance partner. GGG has Alvarez. Floyd, Pac had each other. Kovalev had to a lesser extent Ward. Garcia may be less popular than Ward. Maybe Mexican fans will rally around him when needed. Crawford may be too big and he's not that popular neither.

This. You either have to be a mega loudmouth or you have to bring the mega violence.

    Loma does neither.

I know, there is no justice in the world. I hope he does make it big.

    Decent analogy and I agree.

    So Loma = Ichiro?

I think Loma is H2H better because of his defense. GGG got tagged up by Monroe, Brook, Rosado, Ouma. Even Jacobs and Canelo landed plenty of shots.

    Loma doesn’t get hit much

Golovkin competes in the elite prolific division, so NO.

If Loma can find his foe, his big rival, then sky is the limit.

This is the Lomachenko/Canelo era anyway.

That is true but GGG has the fight changing power. I think both are good and it comes down to what style you like better.

Only if the right opponent comes along. Even though I like GGG more, because I like a guy with power, Loma is the better fighter. Loma is the best I have ever seen in any weight class. Maybe RJJ was better in his prime, because he had power along with the skills.

I’m the biggest GGG fan on this board, and I see that Loma is just more skilled. He’s disposed of better Comp in better fashion. GGG best wins is Geale and Lemiuex. He barely squeaked past Jacobs and gave up 5 rounds to Canelo. Brook tagged him up bad. Loma wins every round no matter who he fights.

GGG is one of the toughest *******s in boxing. It’s what makes him so tough to beat. Plus his very good boxing skills, timing and distance.

Doubt it,GGG had that X factor and also his mythical status with the princely swan down robes, his power and chin and him just enjoying the violence a little too much had such an impact on those in his division and those watching him made him the star he his today and who’d of thought he’d end up getting cheered and Canelo booed by a partisan crowd of Mexicans who have taken him on as one of their own on account of his true Mexican style as appose to Canelos taking steps backwards.
Also his English with his famous quotes have played a part such as Big Drama Show,Be a Good Boy and give me my belt, this is Box ect lol.

GGG is now a brand with a clothing line, his T Shirts with Big Drama Show have been selling out lol.

Lomo has some catching up to do but his skills are not in question.

Yeah also he just doesn’t know how to lose.

Those stories of his brothers using him as an attack dog on the streets of Karaganda are like gold dust lol
