I think his amateur record alone puts him very close. A three weight world champion in 12 fights cements it.

People obsessed with he fact he has only had 12 fights. His 400 amateur bouts more than make up for the 10 - 15 warm up fights most Pro's go through at the start of their career.

Add the outstanding am career to the outstanding short Pro career, then you have one of the best we have ever seen in the overall sport of boxing.

What has he done? He’s already considered the best amateur boxer in the history of the sport by many and has won world championships in the pro’s in record time there dumb dumb.

Lol And the standard little go to Of “But Salido doe!” Your boy Marquez has how many L’s on his record?? And his losses were legit ass whoopings where his opponents didn’t have to cheat, come in 20lbs past weight, low blow etc ;) Juan just got beat. Lol THOROUGHLY! So spare us that “He got a loss doe” bull****. Everyone knows what went on in the Saleazo fight.

The problem I have with these kind of long term predictions is that, you just never know. There's been many fighters who looked unbeatable and dead set for greatness, all it takes is one loss to crush that and send a career a big downward spiral. And then you look a fool predicting something and it backfires on you.

Does he have the potential for it? Definitely. But for it to happen it's gonna take a lot of work and consistency. If he just keeps going, you won't have to engage in silly arguments about it, his achievements will speak for themselves and people just accept it, that's what greatness means.

HoF? Very likely though, if not already there given that he's already superior to some fighters who have a HoF status (be it resume or whatever wise).
