Great for us lot but wont be a good taking for sky, none of these fighters are house hold names for joe bloggs to buy ppv.

 

I think its a quality card but there is no real selling point or angle.

Darren Barker, Matthew Macklin, Kell Brook, Nathan Cleverly, okay great but...who is going to sell that show?

Not that I really care, if it really comes off as it is down on paper its a great card with a lot of good matchups for once.

 

really depends how hard warren sells it.does anyone know how much ppv they have to sell to make a profit

 

Good scraps and a great domestic card but these are not PPV fighters or fights. These should be available on Sky.
If its a success and it could well be,it will keep getting done and then people will be paying for fights their sky subscription should already entitle them to see.

Well I guess we will have a choise which match we go to' either way in my eyes this is value for money. and nearer the day if is stays pritty much intact' I for one will defo have to buy it. fwank said if all 7 go the distance 12 rounds each then that is whot we will see. on that note worth £15.

 

ill be paying to watch it as will most brits on here thats not the point though is it

for a PPV to be a sucess you need casual boxing fans to buy it and who will the casual boxing fan have even heard of on this card , maybe degale because of his gold thats it

 

frank needs to get them a reality show on sky one to lure in casuals

 

Right with Froch rumour to fight in the Super Six the same night in Montreal on the same night there are 2 PPVs on offer if it all gets the green light from the Froch side. So here is what I dont understand Hennesey has Barker headling a Warren card in the UK why doesnt he try and get the Froch fight on the PPV with Sky Box Office as part of a deal with Warren go 50/50 split on PPV buys with the one of PPV buy. Instead of either people buying both or 1 on the night meaning that some are going to have to decide what they want to buy Froch World title fight or Warrens card. Sky could even put up there price of the PPV to £20 which would be fair. IF both fights are on the same night figures for both will drop because of it.....

 

People don't know enough to be able to decide yet. For dedicated boxing people the question is how many fights will be televised on the live broadcast? The appeal is the number of fights not their quality on this card, although there will be some good match-ups that boxing nuts will always tune in for. The live gate is irrelevant for this card given the number of fights so I would expect that there won't be any corner cutting on the broadcast. Even then I don't see how this has any cross-over appeal. For instance, it has been mentioned that Cleverly will 'bring in the Welsh vieiwers' but he hasn't even fought in Wales yet properly so it is difficult to gauge what kind of following he may have. On this front, it is time Warren rebuilds some Welsh bridges given the importance Cleverly has assumed in his operations, especially after Mitchell ****ed himself over. Expect a decent live gate but it's difficult to see how any ppv broadcast will work out.

 

I agree' you have to have a name' it is a hard sell to the man on the street' still pissed as to england team' and the following football gets.was thinking of the crap that most people buy every week.and thought this is real value' fc football' it is a tuff road as a boxer' the reward for most is minimill' you only get real recognition' when you are a world champ' thats prob why you never see a boxers wag' but for me this card is just below world title for most in it. so for me its a must:bbb

 

Surely this is short term thinking? should they not be trying to build these names instead of taking them ever further away from the general public than they already are? if it is that attractive a card as everyone thinks, then wold sky not pay FW more as they would get a bigger share of themarket wanting to watch it?>
