Hatton never had knockout power. He ground people down.

Maidana is heavy handed so as long as he hits body parts he can wear a fighter down. If his chin and face hold up to the punishment we might see a very entertaining fight.

Canelo is a bigger puncher. He's a bigger man. Maidana has some power at 140, but less so at 147, even less if he moves to 154.

Already I can see the closet Mayweather fans trying to make a case for Maidana somehow having an edge of some sort that no one else has had. Look at it like this. Maidana is no better a puncher than an old Mosley, a past his prime Cotto, or a blown up Marquez

He is right. Mosley wasn't a devastating puncher even at his peak. He is a good puncher but not a great one. He KO'd Margarito. But after how many clean punches? If you hit Margarito with that many punches you would knock him out too.

Maidana is a good puncher too. Not a great one. The problem will be his boxing skills and Floyd's size. I think Khan would land more punches than Maidana. But hey! We all know Maidana is game against anyone. And he is well motivated. SO, it should be interesting

After the 6th round, Maidana will get tired and lose 50% of this power. That is the time Floyd will knock him out.

Yes. Maidana has 31 KOs out of his 35 wins. That's an 89% KO rate. He is a big puncher. It's a question of, can he land anything solid onto Floyd Mayweather Jr?

Oscar was the biggest puncher he's faced, no question.

No. I don't think he is a better puncher than Mosley or Alvarez. Heck, even De La Hoya and Cotto are better punchers. Although maybe it's close with Cotto.

A lot less than Pacquiao, that's for sure. It is a pretty big achievement to stop Margarito the way Mosley did. He was far from the most talented, but to put Margarito down, and keep him there is not an easy thing to do.

What is the point of mentioning that is was less than what Pacquiao landed? Pacquiao did not even KO Margarito. I don't consider Pacquiao a big puncher a 147. Hell, I am a huge Pac fan but I'v always believed his power is a LITTLE overrated. He's got very good power, but it's the combination of angles, speed and power.

Mosley is a good puncher, and he's a real welter, he hit Margarito with absolutely everything he threw, of course he was going to KO him.

Because even though his power isn't the same at 147, he's not a bad puncher himself. And Pacquiao landed like almost 4 times as many power punches as Mosley did, and he wasn't even able to drop him. That was my point.

Edit: You made it seem like it wasn't anything special that Mosley did. While Pacquiao landed A LOT more power punches and wasn't able to really hurt him besides a body shot from what I can remember. Mosley is a damn good puncher.
