Will Maidana start fast, cause im thinking, that if he is thinking that Khans biggest achilles heel, is his chin, is he really going to be wanting to feel his way into the fight, given that his best chances lie in scoring a KO, rather that going to the cards? can he start quickly, and if he does, what will that mean if Khan starts quickly? which is something im anticipating from him (Khan)

    Yes, I guarantee it.

He knows he can't outbox Khan and the longer this fight goes, the more Khan will get into his rythm and frustrate Maidana.

He will attempt to do what Prescott did by coming out guns blazing in the first round in hopes of a shot hitting Khan, but Khan instead will counter in such a way which will also drop and hurt Maidana.

This fight will be a short one, I guarantee it.

If he doesn't, he'll lose. He needs to be as ferocious as he's ever been in the early stages. The longer it goes, the less chance he has. He should spar in his dressing room, like Katsidis, and be ready to pounce from the opening round. If he comes into the ring dry, he won't win. He will win if he catches Khan early though.

  5. Maidana and Margarito will both try to smother their respective opponents early in the fight.

It's his best chance, Khan does have at best an ordinary chin.

  8. Not sure. Found it on Google once. Never found it again.

    Kind of like the island.

He needs to especially with the big question mark being on Khan's chin. Win or lose I respect both guys and hope Khan pulls off the W.

He wont even be able to see or catch Khan all night i think. The combination of the speed/power/movement and that badass corkscrew jab of his will be like nothing Maidana has never seen in his career compared to anyone he's faced, plus i'm pretty sure he aint got no granite chin and does not like being hit too much himself.

The first 19-20 fights on Marcos resume are against bums, cans, waiting/asking to be put out of their misery, Khan is cut from a different cloth from anyone he's faced, even despite his chin which i don't think is awful just not good.....
I like to think of Maidana as a bit like a 140 version of Froch, minus the chin, ranginess/awkwardness of his shots and pure arrogance/ refusal to lose, Marcos would fold easier (p4p "hypothetically" of course).

Maidana only has one speed, But he will be consistent the entire fight.
(Bad, For a fighter with a "Suspect" chin)
