Margo hunting him down was his worst night, proberbly having his nose smacked into the back of his head in the 2nd did'nt help.

Pacman better hope he gets lucky earlier as this could be a Margo style beatdown from Cotto, think about it:yep

Pac's tactics will have to be the same as Cotto's in the Margo fight:smoke

Don't forget that Manny was also received heavy damage during his first and second encounter with JMM. It went both ways.

That's true and it's not mentioned here since it's not relevant to the point being presented...;)

Definitely his most important fight considering the huge fights afterwards at stake, and he can't afford to suffer another KO.

Not his toughest, not even close to Margarito, Mosley, or Clottey. Cotto might actually feel relieved to fight a smaller guy for once!

Not that I think he will have an easy fight, but not his toughest either. He must win it. Pacquiao can lose and people will give him a free pass by saying he was too "small". However, I will not be one of them!

Actually, no it doesn't go both ways!:patsch

It's not even close to the same beating Cotto took against Cheato, or the punches he took from Mosley or Clottey!:nut

Pac can hit hard as hell, but he is not going to put a 11+ round beating on Cotto like Margarito did. He won't be able to throw that many punches, or walk Cotto down. He will have to be very elusive.

If he wins he will either starch Cotto really fast, or outpoint him with highly intelligent boxing/gameplan.

Margarito pounded him into exhaustion and submission. Manny would have to put him on a gurney to be any tougher a fight than Margo

Clottey is pretty tough at 147, and a Loaded Gloves Margarito was a rough fight for him for sure...

I am one who does believe though, that Pac will be extremely difficult for Cotto... I just can't see Cotto being able to plant his feet and land good , leveraged shots on Pac due to his movement, and Cotto's Defense is nothing to brag about, lets be honest... PAC WILL land flush left hands on Cotto, and I really want to see how Cotto handles being hit with those rockets from Pac.

His toughest fight though? not too sure.... Cotto has fought Mosley, Margacheato and Clottey at 147, those are some big men who can fight..

I think Cotto will have more trouble then ever landing punches in this fight though

Unless Pac does to Cotto what he did to Diaz, I'd say the Margarito fight was Cotto's toughest fight. To make him quit w/o actually getting knocked down (he did take a knee) shows how much of a beating he was getting. Even if Cotto gets knocked out early like Hatton, he still wouldn't have taken a sustained beating like he did against Margarito. That fight was so tough for him he opted to quit instead.

cotto stays in wars, that why we love him.at the sametime thats why hes geting ****ed up alot.that man has been in hard fights since his days at 140.rememeber the clottey and torres fights ? not the mention the beating he has been taken at 147, he only had 2 easy fights 147, carlos quinntana and michael jennings.besides them 2 he has fought the best in the ww division.pac should not be as hard as margo or clottey or mosley fights.clottely was hiting hard and fast and so was shane.hell zab was hitting fast and hard as well.

this fight should be easier for him then his last few if you ask me, pac is not a real ww not even close, but cotto is going to fight at 145 so that might hurt him.unless he pulls a mayweather and just come in at 146 and pay some bread in fees for not making weight.better then killn ur self to do so, and the ko because of it.

    cotto 8rd ko or tko.

i think pacquiao will be cotto's fastest opponent to date but definitely not his toughest. but i am sure cotto will be pacquiao's toughest, no doubt about that!
